  • I can't stand mosquitos. Whenever II see something with water in it, and mosquito larvae, I always tip it over. lol

  • Different genera and species of mosquitoes employ different feeding strategies, and thus, some are more naturally suited to particular food resources than others. The mosquito in this video appears to be of the genus Culex, which typically employ a collecting-filtering mode of feeding in the water column. This can be contrasted with the typical feeding of Anopheline larvae (the definitive host of malaria) along the air/water interface. Many mosquitoes of the genus Aedes tend to gather food.
