Pike place market IS in fact haunted.

I live in Kent, WA at the moment.

But i was born in the city of Seattle

The market was built in 1907.

And survived through World War ll

Also, the most frequent ghost visitor is Princess Angeline.

She was the daughter of Chief Seattle.

She died and visits the market. She grew up with the market. She is harmless.

But the market is VERY VERY crowded. So it could have been anything. But that figure was floating. So, it was probably a "ghost."

Not for one minute do I think this is a flashlight (given the time of day) We went down there and tested the lights. One, the light that appears travels slowly at above waist level. My first thought was a scooter. (I do believe in ghosts, I also like to debunk things) The height of the light and that of a scooter's head beam don't match up. The other weird thing is that there is metal at the doorframe in several locations that should provide for an intensity of light as it passes by.

Um, I worked security at PPM for 5 years. There's a opening to an alley and a bar at the bottom of those stairs. At approx 6pm when the market closes I'm sure there were spirits involved, just no ghosts.

@mjbj90 Correct, the bar (The Alibi room) is located directly straight in front of the stairs. What's weird is this unknown figure walks right into the wall at the bottom of these stairs. The Alibi room enterance isn't on this wall; it is simply only a wall.

@docwimz We have tried re-creating this as well, with myself wearing a regular bright white t-shirt. Upon review of the video, we noticed it's too dark and you cannot see the white t-shirt or even me walking by due to this darkness.

I worked at pike place market security for about 6 months. When you do unlock's and lock up's for the building's there are some strange things that I cannot explain but at the bottom of those stairs is the alibi bar the dorr entrance is directly where the flash was) and security office which has a lot of traffic passing through there until late hours of the night!

It is definitely a light from a passing vehicle in post alley or a flashlight. if you look at the right side of the door frame above the rail you will see the reflection off the wall!

@DKHellsing There is no possible way that is a car driving by. Not sure if you have ever been to Pike place, but if you have, you would know that the level they are on while filming in front of the fish market is the level of the street. Down the stairs is underground. That can't be car. Not validating that it is in fact a ghost, but it's definately not a car driving by or any kind of light from outside.

Mercedes, author of "Market Ghost Stories" and leaders Market Ghost Tours around Pike Place, has tried to re-create this as well and she doesn't have an explanation too...

The Pike Place Market is suppose to be haunted by Cheif Seattle's Daughter. Princess Seattle. And there is also a baker's man that haunts the place, but the one you caught was probably Chief Seattle's daughter, "Princess Angeline. But there are just more then them 2 that haunt the place.
