  • Ditching class was so awesome while doing Subies running animation

  • Good stuff. I've uploaded the N64 version of this game's soundtrack to dailymotion if anyone's interested.

  • Awesome theme! Of this theme are made the music of the Prison Stage of MK4.

  • It's also from MK4

  • When I played through this level, the Prison arena from MK4 popped into my head.

  • I'm the one who originally Uploaded the song, but I prefer your version. It's less crude and more lucid.

  • @DarthVadent2 yeah i love you version!

  • @ZiCaRiO89 Thanks, it's from the Nintendo 64 version of the game. This song seems to have been ripped from the PlayStation version, they seem to be quite distinct.

  • i'll love this stage in MK10, hell since half of the cast is in the netherrealm by the end of MK9 it would make sense bring back some of the MKMS stages that happen in there

  • I fucking love this game. I still got it for PS1. Classic Sub Zero is the shit. It kinda sucks that he dies in the first MK tournament but then again it's ok kuz he becomes Noob Saibot and becomes more of a fucking bad ass. Pretty ironic how he ends up joining the Brotherhood of the Shadow after denying Quan Chi's offer in Mythologies. Sub Zero forever!

  • I beat this game on very hard without having to continue once :)

  • I could never escape from this area. I didn't know you were supposed to hold the button you use to grab the items and then press the high and low kick buttons to go up and down the elevators in this stage. Same thing with Shinnok's Fortress.

I had the N64, so in this case A to grab items and C-buttons up and down for high and low kicks.

  • Sorry, I meant High Kick and Low Punch.

  • Dan Forden is a genius.

  • Prison of Souls for MK9 DLC!

  • @Brandon5l9 I would have made a lot more sense to have Raiden meet up with Quan Chi there theb in the "Scorpion Lair" location.

  • @Antichrist2000 You mean in the story of the new game near the end?

  • @Brandon5l9 Yes.

  • I was thrilled to hear this in the prison stage. MKMSZ had some excellent ambient music, and this truly sounded ominous and unsettling. Out of nowhere it felt like I was racing through a horror movie with this theme in the background! It's too bad the only glimpses we saw of the Netherealm were an industrial complex and a crumbling bridge. Mortal Kombat could really have delivered a hell worth dreading.

  • @SillyPom I too, thought that. I always thought it should have looked like Scorpions Lair in UMK3.

  • did anybody really want this song playing while they were in the netherrealm?

this song scared the living crap out of me when i played this game. otherwise, i love this song. weird, huh?

  • DAM!!!! THIS SHIT BLEW MY MIND!!!! Never heard this before but Ive played the N64 version but this took me off the ground for sure some bad ass shit!

  • @dragonstateofmind

While N64 had a lot going for it, the PS1 had superior music for sure.

  • @abaddon5 I have to agree no doubt bout dat. Did you beat the game?

  • @dragonstateofmind

Yeah, I pretty much mastered the game years ago.

  • beta vers of Prison for MK 4 :D best song

  • Best theme ever in this game. :D

  • They should have used this in MK4

  • this version is so awesome i wish i can escape

    a afternoon detention with this

  • the best song in the game

  • @mkScorpion878 fire temple i say...But this is damm nice!

  • @TheSubzerogr @mkScorpion878

To me, the 5 best songs in this game are....

    #5: Wind Temple

    #4: Fire Temple

    #3: Water Temple

    #2: This 1

    #1: Bridge of Immortality

    It's my opinion

  • @Nicksolo85 ''fine...i get to the temple...and then what?Whats inside?''

  • @Nicksolo85 Men! Bridge if Immortality it's my time favorite too :D

  • I like this version better than the one on MK 4.

  • @BT3985 Me too bro, it's just more melodic

  • I could never pass this level with this song playing. I grab the first key, but then I can't move on to any other floor level. I end up stuck in Level 1 of this stage.

  • By the way, I had the Nintendo 64 version.

  • @jomar500 Duh! You had to hold A and hit High Kick to go up, or Low Punch to go down. It was so obvious *sarcasm. In all seriousness, great game, but the N64 version had an abortion of a controller scheme.

  • @newfiebangaa I see you WERE being sarcastic. But yeah. I don't think the N64 version would be as good as the PS1 version. I should try that one.

  • This is my favorite song of that exellent game, i really like it.
