Technology is growing faster than I thought. I'm only 27 and I grew up with Nes. I remember first getting the SNES and being soooo impressed by the last stage where Bowser's flying vehicle flies toward the screen in a pixelated quasi 3d effect. I seriously was blown away when I first saw Super Mario 64. Don't even get me started on the first time I played Super Mario 64. I remember me and my brother fantasizing about things like no pixelation. I'll be happy with PS3 grafx for another 5 years

Yeah the advancement of technology is amazing. I LOVE watching the developments in the physics department. That's one of the reasons I love Crysis so much.

I'm, to this day, still quite impressed with the N64. I still play my N64 and have been quite surprised on the quality of the 3D models and levels for such a new development in video game technology. N64 was amazing.

@jackpwnage117 from what I understood, I'd say i7 is better than i5, but dual core might be little better for game-use, but if you don't have many games with multicore support, the i5 works better. I'd go for i7. And as graphic-card, 5770 has dx11 support, if you want to play newer games maxed out and stuff, but Crossfired 5670 would get much smoother framerates and would be little better than 5770, but no dx11. gtx260 is also a great card, but you should get it only if you absolutely need PhysX

and A GTX 295, far better than the 250.

I get 50-70 fps on high at 1920x1080 with all postprocessing effects at very high.

When everything is set to very high, I go to about 30-60.

So your rig should run it fine at Medium.

I think perhaps you'r cpu needs to be upgraded if you want to pull out the max of it. But it also depends on you'r screen resolution. I would have no chance to pull out this game on max with 1680 x 1050, but I would do it easy on 1280 x1024!
