  • Did he write stuff for sandie shaw?

  • Yes he did. Sandie Shaw did not want to sing Yesteray Man, so Andrews sang it himself and had great success!

  • I have lived my life blissfully unaware of this singer. I can't believe my parents named me Chris Andrews...

  • im saying nothing

  • Love this song. I think my copy is on Atco circa 1965 when it came out. Great song. Yes, catchy.

  • ..waiste high hotpants and minis, nice era..

  • Thanks~ DinoRok for unraveling the mystery of the very talented Chris Andrews. I can hear the Sandy Shaw singers influence the background of this song ... In my own LifeTime I've been a Yesterday Man a time or two score...

  • NEVER having heard this song before 2009....I must say that....upon listening to it NOW....this in one helluva catchy tune! Actually it's a little tip top gem!!!

  • Is this the SAME Chris Andrews who wrote all those great Sandie Shaw songs back in the 60's? ... If so...he's one helluva talent!

  • OK BlauerBooo, like I was saying... In the U.S., not Germany. With the Beatles, Stones, DC5, Animals, Kinks, Hermans' Hermits, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Billy J. Kramer & the Dakota's, Searchers etc,. should I go on. It was hard for him to compete with other British groups, which doesn't make it anybody's fault per se, just a shame.

  • New wave era to follow

  • oh, it is from the ZDF ^^

this song is the fourth most successful oldie in germany.

  • it wasn't popular in the usa?

today i saw a german chart show abou oldies. it said that this song is one of the most popular oldies in germany. the fourth most successful one.

the most successful was "Sugar baby love".
