When I was a little kid, 30 years ago, I have heard these songs in church. It makes me think of some of my people that have passed and gone to our heavenly father.
may jesus bless our heart and soul an forgive us of our sins.. from the past that me have done but know that jesus loves you and is watching us everyday and everynight....
@nijoiz There is no exact Navajo word for "god" or "creator" because traditionally, there is a set of deitites and spirits that sparked creation and organized the world as such. These creators are called the Diyin Dine' or Holy People and Navajo ceremonies appeal to these deities. Individual deity names are Haashch’ééłti’í and Haaschch’é’óghaan. But I know some Navajos say "shidiyin" for Creator which just means "My Holy," which is sufficient enough. I believe the word diyin is adequate for God.
I love this song and love it with the Navajo words! I actually played this song on my fiddle as our teen choir and adult volunteers sang it in English, when we went with the church youth group to Northern Arizona for a mission trip. The Indian men and women were wonderful and sang "Amazing Grace'" so beautifully for their Sunday service. I actually thought we could learn a lot from the wonderful, spirit-filled, faith-filled service they led. Thank U & may the Lord bless you mightily!

Beautiful. Songs of praise are so Spiritual when sung in language of Aboriginal peoples rather than from western language. I think it is because westerners like the sound of their own voices more than praising God. Thankyou...praise the Lord
@mspakana This comment doesn't make any sense, why would a song be less spiritual if sung in a Western Language. If the words honor and praise our Lord and comes from the heart, it is spiritual no matter what language it's sung in. Remember it was God who confused man by causing them to speak different languages to stop the building of the tower of Babel. He didn't say some will have a language that is less spiritual than others. The languages are different, but all can praise the Lord equally.
@delphi681 My grandmother also has passed away. I am blessed in that my granddad got remarried giving me another grandma. That woman's mom lived quite a while, giving me a great grandmother. Then my dad's mom and dad are both still living.
Lord Jesus Christ loves you, and He still saves. Hell is real. We deserve to go there. But because God loves us so much and sent His only begottten Son we don't have to. We just have to accept Him and have faith in what He did for us.
Keep Praying Christ Listening
