Part of using this recording method allows me to use my headphones, instead of blasting my speakers, so the microphone could pick it up before. The postman was in Ocarina of Time before Majora's Mask. He was the guy running around Hyrule Field who you sell the Bunny Hood to. In fact, he may have even been in A Link to the Past in some way. I don't think so, but it's possible.

The trees in the Oracle games don't hold a candle to the owl in Link's Awakening. The owl is all mysterious, appearing in random locations as you explore the item, knowing a lot more than he lets on. Meanwhile, the trees always welcome you as you leave each dungeon, and while they may be all-knowing, they don't try to hide it.
