Carnival runs 50% of the cruise market and Royal Caribbean only runs 35%. Personally I prefer Carnival. i have been on 2 of them and one Royal Caribbean. The Royal Caribbean was first and after the service I was provided with I will never go on one again.
BUT... Alot of carnival's "NEW" additions have been done by Royal C.L. not on 1.. not on 2... but on three of their BIGGEST and latest ships. The whril pools hanging off the ship. Solarium wannabe, whats next, they will have FLOW RIDER and rock climbing walls.
sorry to bust your bubble, but some may say everyone else are "wannabes", but let the record show me say that Carnival & Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines are by far the two most popular cruise lines...
They already have biggest waterslide at sea, 18 holes of golf, Splashpark, Cloud 9 spa, seaside theatre, basketbal court, and besides, just wait until the Carnival Magic comes out, its even better than the Dream!

This things looks incredibly top heavy..not a design I would ever want to to be on in a storm. Carnival is such a boring company..no creative risks..every vessel always plays it safe. Nothing pushes any boundaries..and never raises the bar in any way.
i went on this cruise ship in feb and it was so shit like honestly

Carnivals tickets are so cheap just to get people on them. RC is worth the priceyness.

I'm looking forward to my 28 days on Carnival Dream. (Oct 15 and Oct 27, 2009 cruises)
There's a reason why Carnival is the most popular cruise line in the world and all the others are wannabes.
Take the Royal Champions, for example.
