Yeah you're right, best to do it on a real vehicle. I have a 2009 CX7 and a G-Tech Pro, I must check it out one day. The thing that could muddy the waters is that sometimes it jumps off the line like a jack rabbit and sometimes it just moseys away for reasons that aren't clear. I think it's whether it takes first gear or 2nd.
I measured 8.4 for 0-60 on this video. Wonder what my 2008 CX7 does it in... looks about right I think. Mine sometimes accelerates really hard and other times not so much. Doesn't appear to be related to temperature or anything else I can think of... weird.
