I would suggest you fill out the paperwork to at the very least protect your voucher. Hand deliver it, and have them sign they received it. The problem is that your area doesn't have ANY kinds of handicap accessible living. The section 8 vouchers leave finding a home up to the holder, not the agency. I would suggest that you keep calling places. Its hard to find housing with vouchers even when you are not disabled. Just keep looking and extend your voucher.

I'd offer you two to come here, lots of section 8 openings, however none are ADA compliant.

But, look at the brightside..If the Tea Partiers and Republicans get their way in 2012, By 2013 ( say 6 months in ) you'll have 30 to 50 million more disabled and elderly citizens out on the streets...Myself included! Maybe we can all join up at that time.

I know this by first hand experience. The employment agencies treat me the same way the Housing authority is treating the Wicks.

The well-off and wealthy have declared war on the poor, disabled and elderly in this country. We have limited to no services to assist us. Even employers have Hiring: But unemployed need not apply! Let alone homeless!

I wish I could help the Wicks, you are correct, noone should be living out on the streets or homeless. Greed, individualism is whats tearing this country apart. It couldn't be more divided right now.
