For me it's more the lyrical content and the energy of the music as well as the fact there so British that I think a lot of young people can identify with it. I wouldn't judge them just on this song there's lots better, give 'up the bracket' a listen - Doherty's first studio album with the libertines, that sort of sums it all up I reckon.
