That statistic about the goverment employees being more likely to die than be laid off is no joke. All my relatives worked in government for ALL their natural lives, and retired far more comfortably than the rest of us can ever hope to. Its a great racket if you can get in on it.

You want real public v private hypocrisy - on the day that the NotW was being lambasted for hacking the phones of 7/7 london bombing victims a banned jihadhist hate preacher - you know the type, basically a cheerleader for the suicide rucksack guys of 7/7 and 9/11 - managed to get into the UK to hold meetings with several Labour MPs! Hardly got a mention on the BBC.
