My favorite part of the movie is 2:30 - 3:14. That's when the movie, for a minute, stopped being a kid's film. There was a foreboding of it that was almost genuinely menacing. The entire time, people were doing the Star-Spangled Banner, but for them - there was just the competition.

None of the other Ducks movies had that. That's why I think D1 is the best.

I know it is only a film but I always though Adam's character was badly treated! His apparent "friends" from the Hawks team up against him knocking him over and try to take him out of the game. When he is knocked out by them only one player on the ice shows any interest in him. His dad doesn't support his own son's team. Jesse doesn't believe him to be a true duck even though he is obviously the only reason the are in the final in the first place! Just annoys me

And while this coach was yelling a buddy of mine sitting by me who played for that AAA organization when he was younger even confirmed to us all thats how they would talk to them. Hockey is like no other sport. The players especially I have see first hand can be animals just animals no boundaries at times to what they will do. But hockey is also a business. AAA and AA teams travel all over the country and world but it costs thousands to play for them.

There are hockey coaches who are really like that They want to see the opposing players hurt I've heard too many stories and rumors about that A very big name AAA team here in Detroit one time was having a tournament and we were on the ice after they were well they were in the locker room next to us and I heard their coach yelling at his players. These kids were probably 12 and 13 and every other word that coach was saying was "fuck" and caling his players "pussies" but at the top of his lungs.
