actually there's 2 versions on forged prescriptions. fuck, there's apparently a million versions of this song. that's not a bad thing though. not at all
i mean it was orginally put on "Taking Drugs To Make Music Take Drugs" but they put this version on the re-release of "Sound Of Confusion" which I have and This version is actually called "Sound Of Confusion".
I think this is the Northampton demo -"Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To". The album version is slower and more polished (mostly organ and bass), but I still like this one the best.
Best Shoegazing music ever. The Jesus and Mary chain rock harder, but spaceman lyrics mixed with the sweet drone is Heavenly. Using or sober this guy rocks!!!

Spacemen 3 has got to be the most abysmal band I've ever heard in my life. They have 2 frets memorized in Revolution and in the rest of their songs like this, Good Job :)
Sorry tomdickhead, Spacemen 3 were a good band, but they sure as hell don't come off favourably in a comparison with the Velvets. As imitators, though, they're better than most.
I absolutely agree. Nothing in rock'n'roll touches The Velvet Underground & Nico. Pete and J. did write some great songs though. They used the same template as the Stooges and the Velvets but they took it to another place.
Theres a bootleg version of the Velvets playing 'Heroin' w/Cale on vocals & organ that sounds rather like the slower 'PP' version of "Walkin..." methinks it's from a gig the VU did when Lou was in the hospital (guess why?) where they also came up w/the changes for Sister Ray. I'd kill to hear that again...
you all think you will all be great i hope so but if you like this band you will never. they all ready did it way befor the owashes or how do you spell that band water.space man 3 are they really a band. if they are i love this band can you buy them at wall mart.

Everything Spacemen 3 did was either complete shit or breathtaking. There was no middle ground. This sounds like it could be an outtake from early Oasis.
No "about as close" about it, he is undoubtably a musical genius. Pity he's a massively prententious cnut of the highest order. Utter shithead. Tosser.
Still, Seeing him do "Waliking With jesus" as part of his "Accoustic Mainline" thingumy at Glastonbury this year, standing by my todd in a little field with 300 hundred people at one in the morning was, I have to say, majestic :-)

This one is awesome as well, however. But yeah, can't beat the smacky vibe of the PP one, spent many a night fucked up with that one.

So listen sweet Lord, forgive me my sin
'Cos I can't stand this life without all of these things
Know I done wrong, but I've Heaven on Earth
Know I done wrong, but I could have done me worse
Well, here it comes
Here comes the sound
The sound of confusion
Well, here it comes
Here comes the sound
The sound of love

Well I got around to thinking 'bout what Jesus said to me
Cos if Heaven's like this, then that's the place for me
Long, long time between now and my death
And I gotta have my fun so I've chosen what's best
Well, here it comes
Here comes the sound
The sound of confusion
The sound of love

Walkin' With Jesus (Kember/Pierce)
I walked with Jesus and he would say
"Oh you poor child, you ain't comin' to me no way
You've found Heaven on Earth, gonna burn for your sin"
But I think I'll be in good company down there with all my friends
