There are two different PVs, with varying interpretations. Both agree that Miku went to the ball to kill the prince, but fell in love with him and grew reluctant as they danced together. The original PV implies Miku is willing to do this, sort of seduces him, although it might be from a split personality. She kills him during the last chorus. The second has her forced to by a "stranger", stab him during the second, but she fails to kill him and they run away together.

Soon enough, like every fairytail, they fall in love. Because she falls in love with him, Miku does not want to kill him. In the end, as the clock strikes 12, she stabs him in the chest with a knife.
