One of my favourite songs (perseverative soundtrack of the Coens' first movie). But this version I heard for the first time tonight. The Four Tops' original is also fantastic and Levi Stubbs is a master singer, but I fall in love with great female voices like this one.

@terryclary no disrespect but you cant make a silk purse out of a sow`s ear . They had plenty of worldwide exposure with the 4 million selling Mississippi. The reason they couldnt capitalise on this outside europe was due to 1.they were prodominantly a country vocal band ( and not pop music band like Abba ) and 2. their material just wasnt good enough . Abba came up with the commercial pop songs after Waterloo. Pussycat didnt. That wasnt a management/PR issue .
