@AAFAN3 to save them from total annihalation via invasion of mainland japan. "cowardly way"? what did you expect them to do, knock on Tojo's front door and hand him the bomb?
Sure are a bunch of brash, hyper-opinionated underinformed people here whose grasp of history is as superficial as possible so their fond delusions of self-righteous moralism aren't threatened with facts & a broader historical perspective of the world esp. re: the brutal crimes & violence of empire via unelected elites that are basically ignored by the mainstream media, their primary source of information used to enflame their vainglorious struttings & inflated puffings ie. jingoistic blather.
@starmanskye it is undeniable that these secret poliecemen and rapist army regulars are a discrase and dishonor to the entire japanese military of the time. scum like them spit on the names of the japanese soldiers who fought purely for their country and families, THOSE are the men with real honor.
@StrawberryIchigo121 Indeed! Congratulations! The comment was actually a test. I would never expect that the first person that would respond to my message would reply without any bad feeling.
its good to see people that think like me all i see is on other vids ppl saying the japs should be forgiven and everything this shows they relle shouldnt
@runeman1996 That's because some people believe that whatever happened in the past should stay in the past and not be brought up in the 21st century. The Japanese may have not repent for their cruelity and malice, however, there is no need to bring up the past, every country has their dark sides. There is always Yin and Yang in everyone. The Japanese did some crazy shit, but old grudges will get you nowhere.
@StrawberryIchigo121 i think killing over 60 mill chinese in the worst ways, killing thousands of americans in battle and torcher in POW camps and raping girls as young as 4 and NEVER ONCE SAYING SRRY comon man, also China is making the japs say srry and they arent so some shit might go down there
@runeman1996 It is true that the Japanese were once a cruel empire. They only brought fear all over Asia. They torcher their prisoners and raped the women, that's very much true. My ancestors had suffered countless atrocities from the Japanese invaders. It pains me to say that such an advanced nation today was once a cruel empire. However, they are no longer a threat to us. The Japanese as I can tell, do not want to deal with the past even if it means to not apologize, they will never apologize.
@StrawberryIchigo121 its funny how we dropped two nukes on em and destroyed their country and we beat Germany and WE THE USA FUCKING REBUILT EVERYTHING FOR THEM AND NOBODY SAID THANK U OR SRRY BOUT THE WAR, THE JAPS DONT WANNA DEAL WITH THE PAST BECAUSE THEY THINK WHAT THEY DID WAS RIGHT
@runeman1996 They think what they did is right, but what we did was believed to be the right thing to do, by dropping the nukes, the war ended quickly. But, of course they would think what they did was right. It was the only thing they can think of to keep their dignity after losing the war and the humuliation that they suffered after the nukes were dropped which made them surrender in which Japan normally doesn't do since surrendering is a disgrace to them. Every country has their pride to keep
You are all idiots. Saying that they deserved the atomic bombs wtf? I guess I could say that usa deserved 9/11 for all the bs they've done, including the atomic bombs.
The Japanese thought The Filipinos were inferior so they underestimated the Filipino guerrillas so both the Americans and the Filipinos used that to their advantage.
@yhwl1977 the brother of my grandpa was tortured because he was suspected of being a guerilla. he was released because he did not talk. he was never the same afterwards.
some died. some lived to tell about their stories.
@chorizolover1 the only reason you weren't bored with those movie you mentioned is because both were glamorized. where this movie was the closest thing to the truth. soldiers back then never used any fancy lines or dialogues when they are at war they just go in there and hope for the best.
@gagatep450 i don't really hear that much "fancy dialogue" in this movie, if you are referring to the americans planning the raid, you don't honestly think they'd just charge in gung ho without any fore or after though do you?
Agasin the Japanese were animals and Nagasaki and Hiroshima wasn't nothing. When you Sow a seed you don't reap one for one. One seed can bring 100 pieces of fruit. (Like a kernel of corn brings many ears and many kernels) So Japan sowed it and they reaped it... Case closed...
@coast2co --Typical condescending objectification by someone innured thru practice to ignore the selfsame traits one claims to despise. Unwilling or incapable by aptitude or misplaced courage to acknowledge their own government has been overrun with same calibre of scheming duplicity, brutal antagonism & ready recourse to spurious violence -- lacks moral resolve & humane compassion, capable of extreme hypocrisy & facile reasoning, ie., wages war to defend peace, tortures to liberate 'freedom'.
@TheStickUpKid187 You have no clue: What about the numerous Japanese soldiers that took american GI's had them dig air raid shelters and then herded them into the dugouts rolled 55 gallon drums of gasoline and burned them alive. They beat our guys to death said if you surrendered you had no honor and thus thy had no respect for you. They didn't sign Geneva Convention on prisoner of war treatment. Today Japan is normal society but in 1940 they worshipped the Emperor as god.
@dan79102 yeah that was more than 60 fucken years ago, now the Japanese are one of the most intelligent, healthy, educated and humble people on earth. WII is long over!! its like still getting pissed off at the Germans as being Nazis for what they did on the holocaust.
@dan79102 well obviously you don't know why. Back then, all the Japanese were taught that the Emperor was a God and the Japanese mainland was sacred ground from an early age. The government chocked up so much bullshit and propaganda to everyone that the Americans were savages and that they kill, rape people. Keep in mind that Japan is the other side of the world so they don't know much of what Americans are like. Which explains why they would defend their country at all cost with brutality.
@TheStickUpKid187 no they were animals in world war II true some weren't but the guards of the POW Camps were. The stories my granddad told are proof of it.
@floridagators888i they were following orders from their superior officers. they didn't have a choice, if they refused to obey their command, they would be executed. Same goes to the Germans.
@coast2co The Japs were working on it themselves, as were the Germans prior to VE day. Today they ask "why Hiroshima and Nagasaki?" It could easily of been "why London and New York?"
@degree7 read history, they killed civilians in china the phillipines thailand and other asian countries they invaded. they even shot people on the ground in hawaii. so what's your point?
@degree7 ok do you realise to stop a war unless you move an entire population of a country civilians will die, no ifs ands or buts about it. japan was killing as they advance everywhere in the asian area. do you just let this go on? they were after natural resources beccause their small island did not have alot of it. war is not a contest on how many civilians ytou can kill but no way around it. civilians will die.
No, you don't need to go on wanking your historical knowledge that everybody frickin knows anyway.
Here's the thing, after Hiroshima, the Japanese leadership were already in negotiation for starting talk about surrender. But no, there just has to be one extra bomb over Nagasaki to prove a point, that these bombs do indeed work.
It was nothing more than a shallow display of power by that point. Needless.
@degree7 shallow display of power? after the bombs were dropped no one effed with the US. like the saying goes a weapon unused is a useless weapon, peace through superior firepower. :P
@IamMaiC the japanese killed more civilians than should have died. burning and murdering populations of entire towns and villiages. to those kinds of japanese soldiers the civilians were nothing more than worthless sacks of meat.
@valdiviarayc1 they dropped they atomic bomb cuase the japs wouldnt surrender and the allies tryed and tryed to talk them into surrendering but they wouldnt so they decide to nuke em and force them to surrender
