They practically have the same foreign policy. And Robert Taft was called "Mr Republican". They have a freaking statue of him in DC.
There is no excuse to call Ron anything other than a conservative because he is. If I'm not mistaken, he's the leading advocate for religious freedom (he constantly votes in favor for freedom to express Christian imagery in public property and prayers in school)
