To make it the real last comment, i'm in a great doubt if i'll keep playing, cause my subscription expired soon. i got barely tired of everything, all instances, all pvp. when update comes with DLC, i might see all stuff, get many of the new feats and get tired in few weeks. =/ This is basically the reason why i left WoW. I mean... it was supposed to be a real different MMO, right? itseems to be just taking my life away like the others did =/
@MagnumWave I do not see how this game is taking your life away. I have NEVER encountered a game as casual-friendly as this one before. Try not to take it all in so quickly, yeah? Also-- the Megaservers went live for the EU and US PC this week. It has been a much needed and much enjoyed change.
And also, i hate only nature, sorcery and ice being the only powers with a skill that damage increased with 35% less HP on enemy, not to mention nature gorilla form acts like a paladin, and we all know paladins are naturally overpowered, hehe.
I mean, where those questions come from? There are other stuff needing answers and changings, and we, players, we all know, we hear those complaints everyday. watchtower's battle simulation, forgotten promiss. (on next comment)
I really don't know where those questions come from, since they say "we are hearing them". But i know people hate non-pvp queues. This is the only game with queue where the queue has became something RIDICULOUS. =/ I, myself, as long time player, was expecting game was dedicated to a real action-based style and balanced powers, but i found long time ago it's getting closer than just numbers than player skill (i'm not saying skill doesn't matter, IT DOES MATTER) (on next comment)

The only reason that people say this game is bad is because the population is low. But if some would just give it a chance and stop bening lazy cause they dont want to work for their T2 (and new T3) gear this game would be fine.
I would like someone to name a MMO that doesent have a few bugs here and there.
I briefly played this game when it was first released and quickly leveled 2 characters to 30(and a few others). I really did enjoy it. The voice acting, the play style, the art direction and the encounters were all incredibly well done. Unfortunately I think the community as a whole just felt small and the social interface was too limited. Everything else, you guys did a great job(at least when I was playing). Sadly it's really the community that makes or breaks these games.
@TripTheorist You should come back. They're continuing to improve the game. I stopped playing for a while for the same reasons, but for some reason I'm hooked again thanks to finding some good people to play with. The community tools continue to improve.
oh and instead of working on a lame dlc with 2 maps u should have done ur work.i saw one of the dev drinking beer during the conference this is not professional at all and reflect their way of working.ur events on facebook are ridiculous i m sure update 5 doesnt even exist and i went on the us mega server test there is no one there since the launch so stop lying about ur huge test.u tested it how? with 3 players on it? its hilarious how u try to get some time but soon u ll have to admit ur fail
no update since 2 months and no mega server anyway not more than 30 players on the 3 servers i play on.Only those lifetimers saying "amaaaazing" and stupid lies about that game that has no content.

the game crash and is full of bugs cuz 60% of the players use speedhack and disturb the normal way of working of the servers.

See, let's compare this game to Champions Online and CoH. It's all about progression for these games, CO adds several instances that any level over 10 can partake, CoH has a level 50 cap with several stuff to do on endgame.
CO gives replayability and the chance of experience content regardless of level, DCUO offers very few end game instances and nothing else but PvP outside that.
So yes, I'm choosing CoH/CO over DCUO because there is stuff to do there.
@AKImeru I've played CoH and when i hit 50 i was bored. nothing to do but create a new character. and i've played a little bit of CO the graphics suck and now because its free to play some of the powers are locked out and are only useable for people who sub.
i wanna see electricity, earth powers. weather power would be sorta cool. i am a little pissed about the downward spiral of this game. all hatred aside, i'd love to have a 1:1 convo with one of these dudes. i have questions that aren't mentioned nd on live casts i'm overlooked due to spammers. anyways. please just focus on quality. PLEASE.
@nintwiggy6491 Apparently they think challenging means nearly impossible. The Penguin thing falls under that class as well as the supposedly solo Brainiac Invasion that you can get at level 30 where your attacks barely touch the enemies you're supposed to kill 10 or more of. Oh yes, the level 29 "Rescue Sinestro" villain mission where you can quickly get past the enemies but then the overpowered end boss sucks you into range to shred you with sawblades is in there too.

Okay, that's it for now. Thanks for the update though! Even if I - personally - don't trust SoE that much anymore, I still think you guys are trying hard and somehow trying to survive. I was a beta player of DCUO and played it right after it launched, but left with all the others, once things got bad and promises weren't kept. I know, it's difficult nowadays, with all the competition, but before I ever try out something from SoE again, I really want to be sure not to ever be disappointed again.

19) How about improving the powers of the chars? And not only the powers. Have you guys ever seen the game Earth Special Forces? I have played that for a few years. Now that's really, really fastpaced action and huge and brutal fights with beams and kicks flying everywhere. Can something similair to that ever be brought to DCUO? Like, even with the biggest powers on earth (in DCUO), I kinda feel small and weak. I wanna turn a giant enemy crab on its back and do some massive damage.
16) Okay, just heard the answer to the new cities thing. I am writing these questions while listening to the video. Okay, so no new cities, but how about improving the old cities? Also, I REALLY expected the light powers to be a weapon style and not a power. It is after all a weapon worn by the character, not an inherit power of the character's natural self. Sodam Yat is a good example. He has the same power-set as Superman, but also wields a ring. One set is his powers, the other is his weapon. I feel it should have worked that way.
They should make a PVP Legends Batman available to everyone should be the cool armored one from the FMVs and let the cool pre-order one only be available that way. I think that would be awesome.

Just a few days ago there was a major raid war in front of one of the metro police station. Like 30 heroes against 14 villains. And the heroes were wiped completely.

The prospect of having more alerts and raids is a plus. But with no money, there cant be more content
Nothing against you guys personally, just stop putting the screw job to your paying customers who make or break your livelihood. Sub + cash shop + DLC really crosses the line for some people.
The thing is you have a super FUN to play game that is SUPER shallow on content. So even if the DLC is 'optional' by design, it's not optional in implementation due to lack of content.
Maybe add tank/heal to light powers to add value.
Or give it for free to players who've subbed since the start.
@bl00 how would making a hard light tank & healer roles make it more desirable? it will probably anger most because people will then want fire to be a healing class or nature to be a tank class, it's kind of redundant hard light is ok as controller power. SOE and Smedly promised that they would have monthly free content. That your sub price was the reason and that the people deserved the content. I'm not crazy about EVERYONE getting to respect to HL. The first time a tank or healer needs on 1 of my troller pieces because he's going to switch to HL I'm coming for you guys! PLUS they get styles I won't get being a full troll from creation, so those players are going to get a few free feat points and that sucks.
i agree with getting Static in the game. I actually made a character on the PC server Cry for Blood that looks just like him and is named StaticShock but with mental and hand blast its the best i can do to live up to him. PUT STATIC SHOCK IN THE GAME. how about water and electric powers. and maybe even a city other than Gotham and Metropolis.
Electric powers(Awesome)... just make sure you do it right. there is about 1000 ways to do it wrong and only about 2 ways to do it right. in the game infamous, they did it right. So if you guys add this to the game, its okay to copy as long as you dont make it too obvious.
ANOTHER THING, NINJA LOOTING. YOU NEED TO LOOK INTO FIXING NEED AND GREED. Some people ACCIDENTLY need a tank piece thinking it was dps, then the entire raid gets mad at you, starts spamming *SO AND SO IS A NINJA LOOTER* and then said person never gets to raid again.
what about convert marks of distiction to triumph and versa say 3 marks of triumph for 1 mark of distiction or 1 mark of distiction for 3 marks of triumph
@frailissnail dude the more skill points u have the easier it is to run Duos, Alerts, and Raids. likes once u get up to 45-50 skill points u can pretty much run just about any of those with now real problems depending on ur class, like if ur Tank or a DPS or Controller u shouldn't really have to many problems, but if u running as a healer u still might be a bit squishy so some T1 gear, Hard Alert Gear, or Raid gear will help with ur DEF.
Fix all the inventory. Also, get rid of the 5 pve servers and the 3 pvp servers, and just make one of each. And if you can merge them with pc players. Pc isnt any different then ps3, maybe they get cooler content, but fix the population problem.
Contested pvp areas in the city for spawns/rare drops/large fights alongside characters like batman and lex etc. Looking for group search ability and flags so it is more sociable (I gave up on the game in 20..I don't play mmorpg's to solo the whole game!). I think leaderboards/noteriety/fame ratings for pvp to be meaningful would be awesome. Anyhow - keep up the good work guys..once some of these things are put into the game I'll be sure to resubscribe! =)
Nice work on the updates and communication with the community -more of it the better =) I will be resubscribing if a lot of the things mentioned make it into the game - couple of things I'd like to see that weren't mentioned - high res textures and increased draw distance for those of us with powerful computers.
The body scaling sounds good but I hope i can adjust the scale of my current character and not have to make an entirely new character because it's rather useless to me because why start a new character? it's like wiping your game save.

The population is so bad it's been dead empty for months. You can spend hours and hours everyday in this game and not be able to do anything because so many people have left. On top of it all they are now trying to charge the players $10.00 above the game cost and the monthly sub for cheap Green Lantern powers.
The communication from the Devs is terrible. They are completely out of touch and continue to leave stupid mistakes in the game. It is bleeding members each day. Biggest MMO failure.
This game is horrible. SOE is doing another SWG with this game. They released too early, it's not done. You can level to max in a day and then you have nothing to do. The bugs, hacks, exploits, and problems are so numerous it's impossible to play without having them cause you problems.
They can't release a patch without causing serious problems in the game. They swore, promised, that for your sub price you would get FREE MONTHLY UPDATES. They broke this promise and are now doing a cash shop.
I agree with you that the released it too early, things like an auction house is something you expect to be in there right from the start. However after a couple of months, at this moment, they have a pretty decent game. For the really hardcore gamer who wants to grind 24/7 it doesn't have enough content, but for the casual/average player with a normal job and a life besides gaming it has more than enough content to keep you busy for months.

im still skeptical on getting this game. not an MMO fan and never played one, but the fact that this involves DC characters gets me interested. looks pretty cool, but afraid of getting bored within the first hour or two

Loving the game, But charging for CONTENT after stating in a podcast from the development era that you wouldn't charge extra for content is not a great move. We pay a sub for a reason.
A lot better response from these guys. I'm having a blast with this game and hate seeing so much negative talk about it. It sees that it's still pretty fresh with a LOT of opportunity for quite a lot of new things. I am actually looking forward to what the future holds with this game and will carry on playing.

I briefly played this game when it was first released and quickly leveled 2 characters to 30(and a few others). I really did enjoy it. The voice acting, the play style, the art direction and the encounters were all incredibly well done. Unfortunately I think the community as a whole just felt small and the social interface was too limited. Everything else, you guys did a great job(at least when I was playing). Sadly it's really the community that makes or breaks these games.

no update since 2 months and no mega server anyway not more than 30 players on the 3 servers i play on.Only those lifetimers saying "amaaaazing" and stupid lies about that game that has no content.
All i see is glitchers using speed hack and dying 3 times in bane's duo lol
The tier 3 armor are ridiculous and so ugly sure jim lee has nothing to do anymore about it.
the game crash and is full of bugs cuz 60% of the players use speedhack and disturb the normal way of working of the servers.

See, let's compare this game to Champions Online and CoH. It's all about progression for these games, CO adds several instances that any level over 10 can partake, CoH has a level 50 cap with several stuff to do on endgame.
CO gives replayability and the chance of experience content regardless of level, DCUO offers very few end game instances and nothing else but PvP outside that.
So yes, I'm choosing CoH/CO over DCUO because there is stuff to do there.

The Penguin thing falls under that class as well as the supposedly solo Brainiac Invasion that you can get at level 30 where your attacks barely touch the enemies you're supposed to kill 10 or more of. Oh yes, the level 29 "Rescue Sinestro" villain mission where you can quickly get past the enemies but then the overpowered end boss sucks you into range to shred you with sawblades is in there too.

I was a beta player of DCUO and played it right after it launched, but left with all the others, once things got bad and promises weren't kept. I know, it's difficult nowadays, with all the competition, but before I ever try out something from SoE again, I really want to be sure not to ever be disappointed again.

Now that's really, really fastpaced action and huge and brutal fights with beams and kicks flying everywhere. Can something similair to that ever be brought to DCUO? Also, I REALLY expected the light powers to be a weapon style and not a power. It is after all a weapon worn by the character, not an inherit power of the character's natural self. Sodam Yat is a good example. He has the same power-set as Superman, but also wields a ring. One set is his powers, the other is his weapon. I feel it should have worked that way.

Nothing against you guys personally, just stop putting the screw job to your paying customers who make or break your livelihood. Sub + cash shop + DLC really crosses the line for some people.
The thing is you have a super FUN to play game that is SUPER shallow on content. So even if the DLC is 'optional' by design, it's not optional in implementation due to lack of content.
Maybe add tank/heal to light powers to add value.
Or give it for free to players who've subbed since the start.

@bl00 how would making a hard light tank & healer roles make it more desirable? it will probably anger most because people will then want fire to be a healing class or nature to be a tank class, it's kind of redundant hard light is ok as controller power. Just get a job if you have one then stop complaining, it's saving you 2 visits from mcdonalds. :)

Remember I said 'to add value'. 'Value' can be used in different ways, in this situation I was meaning as quantity.
I personally don't care too much about that and rather they add more content to the game, period. That's really all I care about atm.

This game is the worst. It's not worth the $15 a month. You max out in less then a week and then you can't do the grinding because everyone has left the game. Don't waste your money. SOE and Smedly promised that they would have monthly free content. That your sub price was the reason and that the people deserved the content. He also promised that you would never have to buy content. Well the monthly content lasted ONE MONTH before they defaulted on the promise. And now they are RIPPING PEOPLE OFF MORE. i agree with getting Static in the game. I actually made a character on the PC server Cry for Blood that looks just like him and is named StaticShock but with mental and hand blast its the best i can do to live up to him. PUT STATIC SHOCK IN THE GAME. how about water and electric powers. and maybe even a city other than Gotham and Metropolis.

Electric powers(Awesome)... just make sure you do it right. there is about 1000 ways to do it wrong and only about 2 ways to do it right. in the game infamous, they did it right. So if you guys add this to the game, its okay to copy as long as you dont make it too obvious.

@frailissnail dude the more skill points u have the easier it is to run Duos, Alerts, and Raids. likes once u get up to 45-50 skill points u can pretty much run just about any of those with now real problems depending on ur class, like if ur Tank or a DPS or Controller u shouldn't really have to many problems, but if u running as a healer u still might be a bit squishy so some T1 gear, Hard Alert Gear, or Raid gear will help with ur DEF.

Fix all the inventory. Also, get rid of the 5 pve servers and the 3 pvp servers, and just make one of each. And if you can merge them with pc players. Pc isnt any different then ps3, maybe they get cooler content, but fix the population problem.

Contested pvp areas in the city for spawns/rare drops/large fights alongside characters like batman and lex etc. Looking for group search ability and flags so it is more sociable (I gave up on the game in 20..I don't play mmorpg's to solo the whole game!). I think leaderboards/noteriety/fame ratings for pvp to be meaningful would be awesome. Anyhow - keep up the good work guys..once some of these things are put into the game I'll be sure to resubscribe! =)

Nice work on the updates and communication with the community -more of it the better =) I will be resubscribing if a lot of the things mentioned make it into the game - couple of things I'd like to see that weren't mentioned - high res textures and increased draw distance for those of us with powerful computers.

This game is broken. It needs fixed. I don't care about vegas sparkly jackets. I care about hard restates from the constant freezes. I stopped playing cuz I love my ps3. Now yr making mega servers cuz most people realize this game is messed up and they quit playing. Now u scramble alto mega servers so people have other people to play with. How about next time u make a game, u make it correctly and not screw it up.

The population is so bad it's been dead empty for months. You can spend hours and hours everyday in this game and not be able to do anything because so many people have left. On top of it all they are now trying to charge the players $10.00 above the game cost and the monthly sub for cheap Green Lantern powers.
The communication from the Devs is terrible. They are completely out of touch and continue to leave stupid mistakes in the game. It is bleeding members each day. Biggest MMO failure.

This game is horrible. SOE is doing another SWG with this game. They released too early, it's not done. You can level to max in a day and then you have nothing to do. The bugs, hacks, exploits, and problems are so numerous it's impossible to play without having them cause you problems.
They can't release a patch without causing serious problems in the game. They swore, promised, that for your sub price you would get FREE MONTHLY UPDATES. They broke this promise and are now doing a cash shop.

I agree with you that the released it too early, things like an auction house is something you expect to be in there right from the start. However after a couple of months, at this moment, they have a pretty decent game. For the really hardcore gamer who wants to grind 24/7 it doesn't have enough content, but for the casual/average player with a normal job and a life besides gaming it has more than enough content to keep you busy for months.

And u dont have to pay monthly for cod, they need a way to make money while DCUO gets money from subscriptions. And the game is still buggy which is another reason why I chose not to start my 3 month. Obviously your comment is very dumb

Loving the game, But charging for CONTENT after stating in a podcast from the development era that you wouldn't charge extra for content is not a great move. We pay a sub for a reason.
But apart from that loving the game!

A lot better response from these guys. I'm having a blast with this game and hate seeing so much negative talk about it. It sees that it's still pretty fresh with a LOT of opportunity for quite a lot of new things. I am actually looking forward to what the future holds with this game and will carry on playing.
