This was during the 5 month period her and Nick split up the first time. She was very unsure about everything and who she wanted to be... and her label wanted her to be more "Britney" and she didn't.

She admitted she hated being single back then and that she missed Nick terribly... I think she still does, honestly. Tony isn't going to stay around and I think she realizes that, that's why she clings to him so much... to make him stay so she wont be alone.
