I found that I didn't have to remove the edge pieces...all I did was give the layer a 15% turn and use the straw attachment to spray into the cracks, and then twist the layer a few turns to work the lubricant in. I'm also using CRC Heavy Duty Lubricant, which also works well.
You get a lot more precision if you use a straw attachment to the aerosol.
I don't speak or read Polish, but I googled "Gumi Spray" and then ran some of the phrases through an online Polish translator. Yes, Gumi Spray is silicon ("siliconow") based.
