on 1:56 i see a fourstroke engine..

but i thought all the barkasses were with 2 stroke engines???

of was this engine only a prototyp??

in the end of Barkas-producion some Barkas was made with the engine of Wartburg 1.3. It´s a license engine of VW.

These Barkas was named B1000-1.

I think it's an attractive design. with a diesel option it could have sold well in the west if priced correctly

@mrspivvy I know, it was FWD, front engine, which made it easier to load than the contempary VW type 2, where the rear engine required you to lift the cargo high to load it.

Ah du liebe Gott, im Film gibt's einen Prototyp 1100, Ist es aber furchtbar schreklich! Barkas 1000 ist die schönste Kleinlaster der Welt!

Der kleine VW Bus hmmmmmmm... na gut, aber auf keine Falle schöner als der Barkas!
