Great tip on bringing out the 1 set of marines and leaving an elite, worked for me and I agree f'cking hate this skull and lack of grunts for it and the run over 50 cheevo. Only coming back to wars to get 100% halo clearance.

Ok, this is easy. and can be done on easy too. All you have to do, as previously stated, LEAVE an elite. When they are in packs of 4 on their own (1 elite + 3 grunts) just shoot at them with one small group of soldiers, until the 3 grunts are dead. Then back away as fast as possible, not killing the elite. Then simply kill all the remaining grunts as you wish, until you have 100. HINT: remember to kill ALL the grunts along the way to the base.

i tried it twice one day,, then i did easy, and using only my 1 then 2, then 4 warthogs, when you get the base, set your marines at the back of the gate, and let your warthog get in right away and split them, let a few marines stand at the spot of the skull, so they can capture it when you have reached 100/100 grunts

I started the campaign on Heroic and couldn't get this skull a number of times, switched to legendary and having the same problem. I get around 80 - 90, most so far is 94.
