@slvgdvg This is from the scene in Children of a Lesser God where Hurt's character is trying to understand what it is like to not have hearing. Being underwater was the one place where James and Sarah could meet as equals. Interestingly, this was added in the movie, but is not a part of the original stage production for obvious reasons.

i watched this with my friend who is implanted and she was like " you dont need her! i love you ! take me!" it was really funny. compleatly not the point because she speaks and doesnt sign, but the love was there.

I cried for so long, when i saw this movie, for the first time! And the classical soundtrack is extraordinary!

Its an amazing synth based soundtrack that sounds even more incredible on the cd than in the movie. Michael Convertino took soundtracks into a whole new realm.

There was something about cellulite back in the 80s that didn't translate very well into the 90s, at least, not artistically. I think digital filmmaking will reach a similar peak in another 20 years.
