O'Reilly's not racist, and he is, in fact, a journalist. My disappointment isn't with some imagined racism of his but rather with the fact that he allowed his own tastes in music & culture to affect his commentary on the Jackson situation.

I bet people don't know this, but one of the reasons why the 1993 case went out of court was because there was lack of evidence of him molesting children. Another reason was that the boy's father would make him unavailable to testify, and at the beginning the family filed a civil suit against Michael. Money is what they wanted in the first place. Bill can be a grouch, to be sure, and in this case, he didn't check his facts. He blew a number of details about MJ's life and sounded crass. Bill can't possibly think that he can shove Jackson off into history as some fly-by-night, flash-in-the-pan entertainer. O'Reilly's not racist, and he is, in fact, a journalist. My disappointment isn't with some imagined racism of his but rather with the fact that he allowed his own tastes in music & culture to affect his commentary on the Jackson situation.
Like I say, Bill normally makes sense on most topics. That's what makes his MJ reaction disappointing. But he's a far better journalist than many now in the business.

There is a recording of Evan Chandler boasting about his scheme to ruin Michael Jackson and to get what he wanted - money.
No mention of his son. The settlement was by Michael Jackson's insurance company. It was a CIVIL settlement.
And the fact that Evan Chandler accepted the money so readily. If you had any brains or common sense, now THESE things would make you go "Hmmmm."
Grow a brain and learn to analyse what you read and hear.
