  • Actually, you can get dimensions for most all the parts at the castle crafts repair tips page. The mast and spars can just be replaced with galvanized conduit. The sail itself is proving difficult, but I found dimensions at Sailrite, and am still working on material.

  • I've been looking for a Super Snark in Washington state for quite a while now, so I can car top one on my MR2 Spyder. Have you found a sail for yours? I've seen quite a few Snark sails with masts and spars on Craigslist. Maybe you can find the parts you need if you keep watching Craigslist and E-Bay. Good luck, glad you found a nice one.

  • Oh my gosh, a comment!! ROFL! Thanbks so much. Actually, YES, it tracked quite a bit better with the oar in, but needs a rudder even more. The problem with the oar was trying to work around the damned thing. The handle was babdly in the way. What an odd coincidence that you commented when you did. The replacement daggerboard is almost done being painted, and I picked up conduit for a mast yesterday. Hoping to be in wind and water yet this year. Will post a video OF COURSE!!

  • doesn't track too well without the daggerboard,i know now why you had the paddle in the slot.one question did the paddle improve the tracking ability at all once the paddle was stuck in?
