Well, he has a point that I've thought of before. Sites like Avaaz and others do make it too easy to sign a petition without reading what it actually is about and decide whether you agree with it or not.
Avaaz for example, sends out an email to me every time a big issue comes up, with a big button convincing me to sign their petition. Some people, I would think, click this just for the sake of saying they're sorta against it.
But I don't think this is the case, most of the time.

If they're convinced that something is worth fighting against, they have every right to do their promotional stuff accordingly. As the world heats, the Earth is actually creating MORE oxygen. This is because the ice cold arctic waters are now warm enough to sustain life. Algae is Earth's biggest oxygen provider and they are thriving.

Well, he has a point that I've thought of before. Sites like Avaaz and others do make it too easy to sign a petition without reading what it actually is about and decide whether you agree with it or not.
Avaaz for example, sends out an email to me every time a big issue comes up, with a big button convincing me to sign their petition. Some people, I would think, click this just for the sake of saying they're sorta against it.
But I don't think this is the case, most of the time.

If they're convinced that something is worth fighting against, they have every right to do their promotional stuff accordingly. It's up to people to read things more carefully - but as I said elsewhere it can be difficult to find the time or energy to look up a range of different opinions on so many different issues
