  • I love these solo mandolin and vocal pieces that he did. Thanks for posting this. If anybody's got any more of these other than this one and Goin' To Brownsville, PLEASE GET 'EM UP HERE SO PEOPLE CAN HEAR THEM! I read in an interview that there were lots of these that he played during concerts in 1973. THANKS AGAIN!

  • Fantastic post, thanks a lot. There are so few videos of RC and he plays so rarely in concert. This is great value,

  • this is so great

THANK YOU for posting this great tune !

  • @67rene

I'm glad you appreciate this. Ry once said that he always liked to play a Sleepy John number, which he did pretty much up until 1976.

In 1974, in an intro to this song, Ry tells the story of how Sleepy John "lives down in Brownsville, where they don't have much. Sleepy John's got dirt floors in his house - and he's got no electricity... He plays electric guitar, though." So, if Sleepy John felt like like playing his electric guitar, he had to go next door.

  • @Iwebender

thanks for that little story about playing electric guitar next door.

Details like this is what makes the Blues so emotional .

    All the best

    René
