It's gonna be close. Mr. Consistency himself, Mark Martin is looking good, but Johnson is really coming to life. Neither of them have made mistakes, but it could all change in a matter of seconds.
plus, just about everyone else is either making mistakes or doesnt have any history of championship chase consistency like jimmie and chad. if jimmie and chad were struggling, i might say the chase is open, but they're on their game, and most of the others arent. and tony and jeff have made too make mistakes the last two weeks....
The 48 is coming on strong, though I am still pulling for the 42 in the chase. Could the 48 teams domination over the past 3-4 years be what is hurting NASCAR's popularity? People don't like to see the same person win all the time...
probably; but jimmie is a good dude, so i cant blame him...i just think there's no excitement there....i'm here all day watching the race and there are no touchdown passes, no sacks, just long stretches of nothing....gets kind of boring.....too bad dale sr isnt around to kick some ass every now and then
Amazing what this 48 team can do when it becomes time to put there best foot forward isn't it? Every year they seem to limp (comparably to their best) into the Chase and get us thinking that maybe it'll be someone else's turn to raise the championship trophy, and every year they seem to prove everyone of those thinkers wrong. Amazing how they can just turn the switch on like that, and while I'm not fan of Jimmie's per say, I'll be happy for him and his team if they can make history this year.
jimmie and chad have this down to a science....they've got one of the top five or six teams, sleep-walking, so the regular season means nothing to them. all they have to do is get ready for the 10 race chase season, and let everyone else blown themselves out trying to make the chase.....why race so hard for 26 races, like tony did this year, and kyle last year, when the money goes to the guys who win the last 10.....the chase, in that sense, sucks. i'd give the title to the guy who wins the most

Chad Knaus gave Jimmie a car today that I think I could've won in. That combination of Knaus and Jimmie is just dangerous.
