If by dissing his ability you mean being voted MVP, you're right. How can someone who's been voted MVP be underrated? MVP= Most Valuable Player. He has obviously not lived up to the title. To my knowledge he didn't even breach the top 5 for 08-09. He has been voted basically the best player in basketball before, but has yet live up to the title. You can blame it on the voters, but look at his stats. Until he lives up to his MVP, he will always be considered overrated in my eyes.

But as a power forward making 18mil+ i believe he should be a stronger defensive presence. The Mavs have plenty offensive threats, but they lack in defense.
