@daemont00ls Your computer could run at medium settings with consistent fps (around 25 fps). You need a processor with more cores, and a better graphics card to run at full settings.
@mioloki73 Don't get FS Global first. Google Orbx FTX and buy their Australian or North American Scenery and Airports. They are by far the best add-on producer. Try their free demos. Also buy Real Environment Xtreme which adds better sky, water, cloud, runway and lighting textures.
If you want to buy a plane add-on get the new PMDG 737NGX. It's the best jet add-on available by far.
@Steve31000 thx steve for your reply, I will check it out! I got my FSX copy yesterday and it's just great so far :) I am definitely compete for rookie of the year, but I learn and improve :)), fly save

@MegaLiveyourdream thx for inviting me to your Facebook Group , but I don't use Facebook. I fly frequently now, still have my problems with an ILS approach and glideslopes, but I'm getting better with it. I'd downloaded a nice plane which suits me (Diamond Twin by IRIS) and I am still waiting for an European ORBX addon. FSX Global is nice but it's not what I've expected.
The graphics in this game are pretty good. Especially how the plane and the water looks. What I don't like tough are the houses and how the ground looks, because they just put satellite images in there.
@j0n4th4nw they will run great, you probley have one of the new dells spx editions? i have that same graphics and mine looks like this video....and i only have the 1GB
Hey guys, I dont know much about hardware, but I know about aviation and love FSX. Will these specs run FSX at full graphics. 8GB RAM, 3.6GHz, 2x GeForce GTX 460 graphic cards, and a i5 760 core. Also, I have the operating system on a 60gb SSD.
@NTBushPilot It should run it excellently though bare in mind that even the very best computers still have some trouble with FSX if you are using certain add-ons combined with highly detailed payware aircraft. On default FSX you should be able to run it on full settings maybe except for light bloom which is so badly programmed it will not work well on a super computer. You can use the freeware ENB. plugin anyway to replace this. The i5 is very good, slightly less than i7 but should perform well.
@RCHelios1 Both cards are fairly old and will not run FSX at very high settings. If I had to choose though I would pick the 9800GT as it has a proven record of performance in the past with FSX. The 240GT is a low end card in that generation of GPU so it would be a no go for me.
@Manospetrucci i7 920@4ghz. 6gb ram, Ati 5870, Ezca camera addon, REX, and FTX australia/OzX. To get rid of 'trembling' by which I presume you mean flickering textures, you need to turn off DX 10 in the menu. It's only a preview version and flickering runway textures are unfixable in that mode.
@Manospetrucci FSX prefers Nvidia... a high end ATI will be fine but NVidia will perform better other than that what he said... although I've got 4Ghz and that's probably not enough... I've seen people with the i7 980 @ 4.6 or 4.8 or something and that I think will be enough for FSX and ORBX.
@MrArthiom Microsoft Flight Simulator X - technically I suppose you can call it a game but it's a accurate simulator used by real pilots and armchair pilots alike.
but that plane doesnt land in Australia. I like the plane and I have it too but if youre landing in Australia, where did you originate. It does look great though
@marcanthonystorm Heehee. Well spotted. I've been doing world tour in this plane flying from South America through the Pacific. I originated in Papua New Guinea on this particular flight.
is an AlienWare M11x good for fsx?

Hello, nice work fellow...
Uhm, I have a couple of questions...
What is your PC's gear? and...
Beyond a good gear, what tweak do I need
to get smooth results? Like... I'm trying to find
out, what makes my runways trembling... That's
the only problem I have basically... Thanks again
and greetings from Greece. :D
