I've not been a Nokia fan since the N95 and still use my N95 as a back up phone. The X7 looks pretty classy design wise and I'm liking the look of Symbian Anna. I think my next phone may be the Galaxy S2 but i'm not feeling the build quality of samsung phones right, so the X7 may be a good alternative?? samsung where doing grea up till the i8910 omnia HD and then started building cheapy plastic looking handsets...

This wont be better, i have N8 and that game lags on that device as well. Nokia is talking big when it comes to gaming BUT unfortunately they are wrong and outdated........ Hopefully they will see that soon enough and bring forth the Super Nokia phone =).

@Conesbbkg No problem.... and yeah, keep your N8, it's still the best Symbian^3 smartphone out there - the rest of them are compromises in one direction or another. Hopefully we won't have to wait long for the Symbian 'Anna' update to improve speed and fix a few other things on the N8...

@sKunKeNsTeiN nothing is really waterproof I'm afraid, especially with those huge speaker grills... If anything, built-in battery of the X7 means the phone will get bricked more likely in case of water damage, because you won't be able to remove the battery out in time. The built-in battery rather provides... integrity of the built, but not to the point you want to go swimming around with the phone, lol.

@vadim375 it certainly is slow, with hardware being very similar to other Symbian^3 phones like the C7 or N8, there's nothing that would indicate X7 is more aimed at gaming... aside from the aggressive styling of the phone, perhaps.

The only highlights of this phone are the 4" display and stereo speakers, both of which should have been on the N8. Unless you have to have those two things, I see no reason to even consider this over the N8. And what is wrong with your engineering/design people Nokia? If you can't fit a battery bigger than the BL-5K in this phone, you need to hire some new people. There is no excuse for a phone of this size to not have room for something bigger.

@HokiesACC You're right, the biggest enemy of the X7 is the N8 which is now 6-7 months old but still a very capable multi-media focused smartphone (with one of the best mobile cameras out there) selling at decent price atm. Now for the X7 to have at least some chance of survival upon arrival, I can only suggest Nokia selling the X7 for *much* cheaper than the N8. Now if they put proper 4 speakers up front, a good battery and an auto-focus camera on the X7... but alas.
