Rebecca Nesson's office hours in second life give those of us who are viewing the classroom videos asychronously an opportunity to interact with students and others sychronously. I enjoy the irony of conversing about serious topics with others in this way. It is an opportunity to interact with very thoughtful people in a way that has the potential to relate (virtual) locations with meaning. This adds an additional dimension to social networking online. To me, it helps make learning fun.
