  • do they make good pets..?o.o

  • He maybe have to use a bath room cuz my cats do that if they want to use it

  • Why is it whenever someone posts a video like this it always turns into a full blown debate??? Just appreciate seeing the cute little fuzz ball and be happy! Plus the fox looks nice and happy so why can't you be?

  • I think that in the wild they live in burrows underground. Maybe if you constructed an elevated enclosure that they could then walk down into, it would mitigate this behavior somewhat.

    They are too cute!

  • Fennec: HEY HEY!!! PIZZA DELIVERY!!! WE MUST GET TO YOU WITHIN NEXT FIVE MINUTE OR BOSS BE MAD!!! HEY!!! I KNOW YOU'RE THERE!!!

  • lol he forgot how to use the wall hack xD

  • can we pet fox?

  • are they smelling something

  • lol he's/she's like "i must find the burried treasure in the other room but i cant get to it! nyeeh! *dig dig*"

  • foxes are escaape artists. one of the things they check you for if you get one is if you have a place where it can not escape.

  • Its a fennec FOX . w .

Go google it. It is the smallest breed of Foxes and has been domesticated. It is legal to own this fox, not shut the hell up about how its a cat.

  • Because it wants to go to their playing room behind the door, which was being cleaned.

  • i forget how this started..

  • okay

i'm guessing you looked back at the horse.

  • okay bye

  • no dey arn't

    my teechur is 1 D<

  • no its a walrus are you crazy

  • i iz smert enuff 2 kno dat dis is a canine!!!!! i kno my ABCs 2!!!!!1!!

  • if you have a license. -_-;

    Its a Fennec (desert) fox

    do your research, childrenz.

  • O_O thats a FOX

  • " The power which they dig is full. "

Don't know if i "dig" that..

  • um dats a fennec fox NOT a cat!

  • So cuuute! They try to dig because in the wild that's how they get shelter; they dig into the sand like a rabbit with its burrow.

  • I have to say, that description is awesome for the Engrish alone.

  • im suprised they havent eaten them yet -.-

  • they want to excape Lol so cute! they r trying ot get out of prison LOL

  • It's called instinct, ever heard of it? ;) These foxes are bred tame. They don't know what a desert or nature is.

  • i think fennec foxes dig because of instinctual drives. not because they have a motive to escape.

  • Bad english + Cute foxes = win.

  • so cute

  • I do see what you mean VoldOx but the habitats are slowly dying away and here they have a home. At least they have another one of thier own at the home, and besides, she isn't belittling them, or hurting them. To me it seems that they are living a happy life. She really isn't being a hypocrite. Then again I guess its just me who thinks so *shrugs*

I will not say you are right or wrong. I do see what you mean, but they're happy and leave it at that.

  • Cute fox is cute.

  • Sure, because living in the sahara desert and having to hunt for food and living in a burrow is much better then getting fed good food in a nice air-conditioned home!!

  • And of course getting hunted down is always better than living in safety with a human, huh?

    Makes sense. -.-

  • I wonder why these animals cannot live free in their natural environment..

  • Maybe because they were BORN IN CAPTIVITY?

  • GnarlyPanda said:

"These animals belong in the wild"

  • *beats head against a wall repeatedly*

  • Treat them like objects? Their owners spend a lot of money and time to take care of their pets. They give them food, toys, make places to sleep for them and treat them like they are part of the family; Pets are like children to most owners.

It's nowhere near treating them like objects, so stop judging people, when you don't know anything about them.

Maybe we should let you back in the wild and see how you can manage.

  • okay those things are so cute and fun how much are they

  • typically over 1000

  • These are my favourite animals. XD

  • After watching a lot of videos on youtube, I am -DISGUSTED- at the number of people I see complaining, moaning and acting like they're watching some sort of torture activity, GOOGLE Goddammit, SEARCH GOOGLE, you piss off police/animal control people off so damn much by acting stupid like a lot of people do thinking they are being tortured until the blame falls so much, animal control takes the number of complaints and takes them away.

Do you even know what animal control does to animals?

  • The thing in internet mocktivism is that they find something cute and adorable, and then talk all big how they belong to the wild and all that. yet, you will never see them in action, because that would be scary. its easier to support things from the comfort of their own cozy homes, no matter how boneheaded their idea is. sadly, when they do, they fall into hands of felons and taxscam-arti... sorry, i mean peta and we can kiss all reason and fairness goodbye forever. internet, serious business

  • How utterly ironic that your profile says anti-generalisation and pro-animal rights and here you are showing the depth of your hypocracy. Seems like you're one of the "gullible idiots" you're ranting against on your own channel. Doctor, heal thyself!

  • christ you're thick, this has nothing to do with religion. nothing. fair enough, i'll bite the troll. i admit im not familiar with the non-retarded side of animal rights-groups, because those guys who actually make things happen FOR the animal rights are awfully silent here. true, it might be just here but the most prominent groups visible "for" the animal rights are teenagers who just want to rebel against everything their parents believe in. thats not the way you make any form of changes

  • Religion? What has religion got to do with this? Did you just happen to smoke alot of crack this morning and decide that everyone is trying to push religion down your throat? Yes, I said 'Doctor, heal thyself' because it seemed fitting, I am in no way a Christian, but some biblical quotes are cool, just like there's good stuff in The Dhammapada, Sufi texts etc. You seem to be the thick one here, the more you write, the more obvious your stupidity.

  • I don't think they know thats it's wall

  • can u own these things as pets?

  • yes in some places but they get up to 1,000 to 20,000 dollers

  • Fennec foxes love to dig, just like me!!!

  • Also, digging and clawing at the walls and couch is a natural behavior, not an escape maneuver. They like to dig xD

  • Damn noobs. Do your research! If you think you're such an awesome trooper for animals, wrong! These guys see humans as their surrogate parents and part of their "pack" so to speak. All have been bottle-fed and loved by breeders, then bought by people who take very good care of them and love them! DO YOUR RESEARCH! Fennecs are extremely expensive to care for, let alone buy, so these guys are living great lives! xP

  • Read the description, dink... that's the room they usually play in.

  • No, he doesn't, because he was BORN IN CAPTIVITY.

Does you dog want to be left out in the forest to be "wild"? Would your dog survive without you in the wild? No, it wouldn't. Leaving your dog out to be "wild" is the same thing as abandoning it.

  • are you retarded....

  • They may be wild animals but the ones most people have have been around people and as pets all their lives. They don't know anything else. If you were just to suddenly let them go they wouldn't know how to fend for themselves or to get their own food. And after all if people hadn't started this with wolves so long ago we wouldn't have our common dog. Also, since these foxes are high maintanence and cost so much I would have no doubt that they are and will be taken well care of.

  • All pet fennecs are born in captivity, bottle fed, and introduced to humans early in their lives. They wouldn't last a week in the wild. You're a fucking fool, luseeedwards.

  • @IlSilentEarthIl Your claim is just wrong. If Fennecs "got out" in a climate appropriate for them, they would thrive. Fennecs have not been fucked up like what humans did to the wolf. Captive born and hand raised Fennecs my not fear humans but still have all their natural instincts. I bet these would thrive in Arizona. I have seen the most fucked up cat (Persian) go ferral and live a fairly long life as a hunter and cats have been around humans far longer than Fennecs.

  • @Robbob9933 I think there's a good chance you're right. I really do. I made that comment 2 years ago. I'm not an animal expert now, nor was I then (clearly), but I have received new information pertaining to this since then, and my views have changed. So call it a win if you want.

  • dude, get over it! it was just temporary while the room next door was being cleaned. my damn dog does the same thing if he has to be kept in a room for 10 seconds while something interesting is going on outside. this isn't torture. and it's insulting for you to just assume the owner won't look after the pet all its life. that's what most people do you know. what right do you have to go around accusing people of that? i don't know what your problem is.

  • dude its a captive born animal it doesnt know what a fucking desert even is even though a retard with your standards probably didnt know they are from africa if your going to hate on a exotic animal lover then hate on someone with a lion they caught in the wild or something

  • She considers her Fennecs as a part of her family and obviously cares about the breed.

And as for the latest trend thing she bred the Fennec for 11 years. She just closed the door to their playroom because it was being cleaned, better to close the door for a little bit then them biting through the Windex container and getting sick. .____.

  • it looks lyk its tryin to get out O.o

  • Are their places that can't have Fennec fox's? As in, against the law? I know some animals are like that in different areas of the world.

  • In Nova Scotia, where I live, I can't have any pets besides a normal dog or a normal cat. It's so lame. >:(

Well, we can keep things like sugar gliders and exotic rodents, but nothing as cool as the fennec. D:

  • That is depressing.

  • its trying to get out....

  • wow how long did the keep going at it for \ the digging i mean

  • Whats wrong with his leg is it his knee?

  • foxes have very defined digitigrade legs

  • Hehe, I can read Fox minds =D

"This house is too small! Here, I'll help you by building an expansion to your burrow!"

    Cuteness galore

  • open it! open it!! OPEN IT!!! lol xD

    Playful little ones :)

  • where do you actuly buy fencne fox's

  • an exotic web site try fennec foxs for sale on google

  • DO they go to the bathroom in a litter box?!

  • they are probably happy there but if im not mistaken they live in holes so they probably ince in awhily get a really strong urge to dig, so there happy.

  • they look kind of sad

  • Read the description

  • If you read the description you will notice that their play room is closed off because it's being cleaned, which is why they are not in it, and also why they are trying to dig into it!

  • bastards kill foxes make it so i can't have one

  • I love how fast they move their front legs while digging. They're so cute! :D

  • You know what, all those of you that keep saying wild animals should be free save the species yadda yadda yadda why don't you DO SOMETHING about it! Become a wild animal breeder and breed wild creatures for release in the wild!

  • Dude, I totally agree... but that's a lot easier said than done. Most people don't even know where to begin.

  • Well, if they have the time to constantly post the same messages over and over andoverandoverandover in every video with an exotic animal they have the time to start by reading up on wild animal handling, and then to volunteer at the local animal shelter, etc...

  • I want to see those claw marks!

  • i know they are cute but...People!!!!In my country we cannot keep animals like Fennec fox like a pets it's cruel and not fair to them ..fennec is a wild animal and the best place they can life is sahara or another place they come from...don't think only about yourself-protect animal-don't take them from their home

  • Aw... that's nice that you care! I think I may be on your side...lol.

  • In their native territory they are hunted for sport and fur by the locals. They are also becoming endangered there. Sounds like a great place to live instead of a sheltered home. The ones that are pets aren't taken from the wild. They are bread in captivity. Captive breeding will help to save the species, not harm them.

  • As much as I would like to see the wild population flourish, I have to agree on that point. If they get hunted to extinction, which is a real possibility in those regions, all that will be left are the pets and the domestibreeds. Fennecs are a real one-of-a-kind fox and I would hate to see them go extinct.

  • Paul and Blaster: From everything I have been studying, the fennec is NOT even close being an endagered species. Yes, they are hunted, but not OVER hunted. We hunt deer and elk in this country and they aren't close to endagered. The Fennec population is doing very well and holding strong, espcecially in the Saudi region.

  • Fennecs are not currently listed as endangered, but trade is regulated in some countries. Fennecs are intensively hunted by native Saharan people and have become rare in some parts of northwest Africa Protected under Appendix II of CITES.

  • As long as your source material is not Wikipedia...

  • Actually no. I seek out information from sources with more of a science backing. In this case: zoos, departments of fish and wildlife, breeders, and universities. While yes, it is true that they are hunted, and each study I have read seems to sate that the population is threatened, yet adequate and stable. In fact, in one study they stated those two seeimingly different observations in the same paragraph. I would imagine it's who you talk to.

  • Most interesting... :-/

  • omg. guys stop fighting. these foxes are fine being pets.

  • there trying to escape. poor things. they want to go outside probably. Do you take them outside. there sooooo cute.

  • Like every one keeps saying these are NOT wild animals. This is a special breed of fox bred as pets. They are to wild foxes what a house cat is to a Lynx. They were MEANT to be like this, and they are HAPPY like this. If you took the fennecs from this video and shoved them back into the wild they would be devastated and probably die with in months, if they even make it that far. These are obviously well cared for foxes, so stop complaining!

  • its not digging u dick its fuckin tryin to escape

  • Poor guy, if you are no more intelligible brain to answer without insanities, i understand why you can accept to emprisonner wild faune. Only dogs and cats are species living near humans since a lot of seculies. Fennec were never domesticated in population all around the world, only north americans thinks wilds are their property for fun...

  • These Fennec pets are semi-domesticated, as they have been specially bred to be pets. While they haven't hit the generation landmark that the Belyavev experiment hit by domesticating the Fur Factory Silver Fox, they are not in any shape to return to the wild. Yes they are not a good choice as pets, because they have special antics that would drive most people nuts, but they can be great pets for the proper owner who knows how to care for them.

  • nice animals...they should breed a domesticated version as pets

  • for those thinking it's sad shut up. if you've read, they just wanted to go play in the room that was being cleaned. Those type of foxes are domestic animals and appear very happy.

  • The Fennec fox is not a wild creature. It's a domesticated animal. Just because something is not a cat or a dog doesn't mean it can't be a good pet. Do you people go around complaining about every animal that doesn't fit your standard for ownership as a pet?

  • Very sad...

Let wild creature live their natural life.

  • How can you accept to captive wild creatures ?

Did you think at a wheel for your enjoying ?...

Poor Fennec...let them live their natural life..

  • there not fuckin wild u dick..

  • maybe you should do the same thing with all the cats in the world that claw up sofas and curtains

  • that's really sad.

  • I don't see what's so sad about it. My roommates cats claw everything to death far more then these little guys could

  • look this foxes are breed with other foxes which are breed with other captive foxes which are breed with others and so on so really they haven't been removed from the wild which is okay because if u let them out they wouldn't live long. also how do u think we have cats and dogs ppl and i hate ppl who go craping around with not information -_- REAL cute fox ^.^

  • Ya but Fennec Foxes are trained. Not like the other foxes.

  • " I think it should be given to a refuge or zoo somewhere where it can live in a more natural environment rather than scratching at doors in interior rooms in someones house."

Now that's inhumane. Removing an animal from an environment that it's used to and forcing it to live in a new and unfamiliar place.

  • If you think like that then you should also think that Dogs Cats Birds Lizards Snakes Rabbits and other types of pets should be sent to zoos so they can be in cages there instead? Its not a real invironment in the zoo and the animals still try to get out. Atleast when they are at their house they are hopefully getting loved, which sounds corny but its true. Only special animals at zoos get special treatment. Other than that its just a job for people who clean their shit up and feed them.

  • jeywolf, you should behave in an ethical way.

  • ppl should not obtain the canine. it is not to mean they should not be kept? sorry what u want to say is not understood. i say they are keeping already. what u should do is not to make remarks here if it wants to change prevailing conditions. complain to a PET INDUSTRY if u want to stop wild animals breeding. if you think only that you scratch the door about this fox, it is WRONG. did u see other videos of this person? i look HAPPY and SAFETY these foxes.

  • r u kidding? u say "dont keep that". what should animal kept now do? Sooo..what do u want to do?

these are already pets. it doesn't change. guess what? i says again. if you really really really want to stop ppl from owning them then get up off ur ass and change the laws!!!!! "wild animals" that is caught indiscriminately and killed uselessly, should be saved. i think so. a lot of people should stop wasting time commenting on internet videos. It doesn't do any good!!!

  • The same way! dog and cat became pets. this foxes was born in captivity so it would be cruel to let them loose. you should save the fox killed for the FUR. ohhh..It is human's shame. Plz dont attack the small fox taken care of. I think that this person is doing care enough for foxes. we dont have the right to blame fox owner. It doesn't do any good.

  • You're an idiot. a long time ago, ALL ANIMALS WERE WILD. Guess what? ALL ANIMALS WERE WILD ONCE there would be no domestic animals if human hadn't first caught them in the wild. this person's animal is taken care of very well. where is the complaint? If you really want to stop pple from owning them then change the laws!!!

  • I agree. The behavior of a wild animal, whether bred indoors or out, is not like a domestic dog

  • what? dog is NOT CHOOSING. all are the wilds first. human has tamed it. animal that human is breeding now chooses by them and is not doing so....When it is your theory, human should not breed all domestic animals. you must please FREE the dog, the cat, the cow, the pig, the bird, and everything.

  • They are tamed as a pet. They do not seem to become happy by setting loose my foxes as wild animals to outdoor. And, returning it to the outside will kill them.

There is no difference with the dog if it says by their elements. Actually, they are canines.

They are loved as a pet at a lot of homes now. I do not think that there are a dog that you say and a difference. Please know they have the history that has already been tamed as a pet.

  • If you want a cute domestic pet with big ears, why not get a Chihuahua? They like being inside with you.

  • If it is a Chihuahua why is it good? Why isn't it good that it is a fennec? They are foxes that were born in the home that is tamed as a pet just like the chihuahua, and has loved.

  • I don't know where the fox is but it is obviously trying to get out. Has it been recently captured??

  • lol...i think they are just his pets.

  • They do not move by as much as one step that goes outside. Because the outside is scared. I often go to walk to the outside with them. However, they are not pleased with it.

  • hmmm well lots of times you need license to have none dimestic pets but you could probly get one easy

  • Is it legal to keep this animal as a pet? Or do you have to have a spec. license, or something?

  • They are legal to keep as pets in some areas, but do count as an exotic pet.

  • it made me want to cry to see this animal digging like that! you can't have a conscience if you beleieve this animal is having fun! you just want your 15 minutes of fame by showing this on youtube. Better you show your face for your 15 mins. that way we can hunt you down & lock you in a room!!

  • My God you're retarded. Go set yourself free in the wild PETAfreak.

  • it's obviously a closet.. the fox is digging at a closet door that is usually open. it's NOT a big deal!!!!

  • It's trying to go to the next room =P Not trying to escape, stop saying free the foxes, we all know you're just jealous..Now hush. ^-^

  • smexyPikachu is such a dumb arse! do you vote by some chance?

  • Hey! guys.

CHECK OUT HER COMMENT BEFORE COMMENTING!!

And check at other videos of her.

So you might be understood, how she keeps them freely and with love.

And, her foxes seem to be so HAPPY!

  • This video alone says what a lot of people have been trying to. But who cares about them fennecs anyway? AS long as they're cute.. who cares huh?

  • If it is a wild fox, it might be street that you say. However, he is not wild animals.

  • How long did he keep digging for?

  • The cleaning of room next to mine ends. It is likely to have dug up about 10-15 minutes.

  • can you get a permit to have them roam free?

  • how cute and plz mark ALL chain letters as spam!

    (sry 4 bad spelling)

  • OMG I WANT ONE

  • um...

    I understood your opinion.

I am wishing their happiness in above all though it differs from wild life. :-)

  • This looks pretty pathetic to me. What kind of life is this for an animal that should be free and on his own in the wild.

  • Psh. Dogs and cats do this too when they want in a room.

    Settle down.

They are very happy there, thats why they want back into the other room. So that they can play more in the place they like best.

And all animals can be wild, all animals can be tame. If well taken care of, they are happy in both places.

  • can a tiger be so tame you can have it like a housecat?

  • actually, yes. although any animal that is raised in a house can be tamed, i wish people would not keep tham as pets!!! i understand why people keep them as pets, but i wish they wouldnt because the animal can get really sick or hit by a car and that sux. T_T

    FREE THE FOXES!!!!!!!

  • that could happen to any animal dude.

  • thats true, but foxes wouldn't be introduced to dangers such as cars in the wild and besides they are endangered

  • these animals aren't rare or going extinct. chances are, the person who decides to own one is going to take REALLY good care of it.. it's pointless to worry about dumb stuff like that.

  • yea, thats what i used to say too. i got a really neat parrot that was scared of being outside. but one day i got home and what did i see in my front yard? dead bird, caught by a cat. that was MY bird. cant be too careful.

  • my cat does that cause HE WANTS IN!!!!! they look very happy. they just want to go to the next room. my pets do that to when they want in. sheesh.

  • Said time and again, these are semi domesticated, and will not survive in the wild.

The Belyavev experiment showed that selective breeding based on behavior causes domestication, but it also alters the growth of the animal, resulting in unusual traits not found in the wild. As for domesticating Tigers, well, good luck and don't get eaten!
