Has the nature vs. nurture question been satisfied regarding homosexuality? Could somebody who is well-read on the subject give me the truth regarding whether homosexuality is genetically based or a result of the environment/life experiences?
@GodChristLord Thanks for your question which I just noticed here. There is a good bit of evidence in my experience to say that genetics is the basis for whether someone is gay. I know many families who have multiple LGBT people in them. There is still a lot of debate I think and various people have their opinions, but that's mine.
I'm really sick and tired of people making it a religious thing. I'm Canadian, so maybe I don't get the mentality, but wasn't a huge part of America's foundation the separation of church and state? The way I see it, people who want religious-based government aren't true Americans...
I agree yet a lot of issue aren't just about the separations are the legal right that come with being married to same sex. What you are referring to is the Old Testament Mosaic Laws. There were 613 of them. They were given by God to Moses for the 'JEWS ONLY' over 4000 years ago. They were not for the gentiles (you and I), nor the Greeks nor the Egyptians nor any other people, JUST THE JEWS. It may not be exactly the same, but there is no reason for incest to be outlawed anymore. The only reason it is is because of the "ew, icky. I wouldn't do it" factor, which people used against homosexuals.

If this is true, then heterosexuality is as much a choice as homosexuality, or cohered to. When we're born, we're born as a blank slate, and the only way we end up a certain way is to learn it or be taught it. What you are referring to is the Old Testament Mosaic Laws. There were 613 of them. They were given by God to Moses for the 'JEWS ONLY' over 4000 years ago. They were not for the gentiles (you and I), nor the Greeks nor the Egyptians nor any other people, JUST THE JEWS. It may not be exactly the same, but there is no reason for incest to be outlawed anymore. The only reason it is is because of the "ew, icky. I wouldn't do it" factor, which people used against homosexuals.

Gay marriage=Equality in marriage. Everyone should have that! People don't choose to be gay. It just is. My daughter is a filmmaker and just happens to be a lesbian. Yes, people do chose or are cohered into homosexuality. The supposed science supporting homosexual genetics makes no sense. If the mind of homosexuals really think they are the opposite sex, (and the mind controls all) than why does it still execute puberty as the correct sex?

If this is true, then heterosexuality is as much a choice as homosexuality, or cohered to. When we're born, we're born as a blank slate, and the only way we end up a certain way is to learn it or be taught it. And homosexuality is not rebellion against Christ, any more than being heterosexual is, either. I can only guess where you are getting your information - probably some site like Family Research Council or something.
