  • @Mutiny00 lol

  • @Mutiny00 no hes trying to turn it up!

  • What type of tegu is that? Where did you get it? Thanks

  • um hello u got freakin lizard walking around in your house

  • My asshole tegu bit me yesterday, took off into the register and all the way to the furnace. Had to take it apart to get him. He wasn't harmed but my hand was a bit bloody... Columbian goldens are douches>.<

  • stone sour <3

  • is he tme that big

  • it does look like my argentinian black and white tegu and mine made a great pet he was always calm but if i put him down he would get into everything so most of the time he stayed on my shoulder

  • wata beauty! is it a argentinian black and white tegu?

  • You can own these things as pets, I mean actually "pet" them?

Lol do they make good watch dogs?

  • @icefiredarksector748 yup, they will sit in ur lap as you pet them and watch discovery channel, as for watch dogs, put this guy in ur window, and see how many robbers got the balls to break in LMAO

  • @CemetaryGatesML

But they have to get shots right? Vaccinated for diseases?

  • @icefiredarksector748 no not realy, you can just bring it home from the breeder and let it live its life, the animal dosent get the same diseases dogs/cats get. you could bring it to a reptile vet to make sure its healthy but after than theirs nothing more, of coarse it can get sick, develope problems like breathing problem or MBD from a lack of calcium and etc... or mites ( like flease) but you can buy simple medication for them...they are no doubt awsome pets

  • its beautiful...x

  • Estos animales aman la temperatura del cuerpo de los humanos, les gusta recostarse sobre sus dueños y esto es confundido con un gesto de ternura, aunque pueden sentirse a gusto entre los humanos distan de sentir cariño o aprecio.

  • not sure if you can get one in australia. but to get one is pretty easy. there common in most reptile stores now. they cost around £175 when they are about 6" long.

  • can i get a tegu in australia?

  • how can i get one??

  • Stone Sour, Hell yeah!

  • i will not lie. they can get attached to a person and bond with them. but if u let someone into ur life. they take offence. i had to get rid of her coz she bit my ex fiance. worst mistake of my life getting rid of her. she was the best pet i have ever had.

  • @daredevil6968 Do tegu have some fierce teeth that draw blood?

  • @Viktir666 yes tegu have sharp teeth. they also carry bacteria in there saliva so when you get bit it tends to get infected...:)

  • @daredevil6968

it will not cause immediate infection just make sure the area is cleaned and bandaged and you'll be ok. any wound left unclean will develope infection.

  • @daredevil6968 what size is the tegus tank ? 125 gal ?

  • @daredevil6968 because she bit your ex fiance? no wonder why shes your ex fiance... I wouldnt want a wife who couldnt stand a tegu bite either. don't worry bud, I am sure where ever your little 'gu is, shes doing just fine :)

  • @daredevil6968 damn dat sux bro...my fiance dont like any of my beardies but i aint finna give dem up for no 1...

  • What kind of tegu is this its the biggest one ive seen and I would love a huge tegu. Thx for any info!

  • Godzilla is runnin around ur house damn haha hes awesome!!!

  • Curiosity killed the cat. The tegu, however, was only satisfied.

  • omg that is cool where can i get one and how much does one cost

  • .o. he/she gets his/her own room :D that's easier then building somthing

  • if you like tegus for their inteligence, tegu on the prowel, kindda I assume your lizard is a better speller than you as well.

  • Oh man I finally found you! I have been looking everywhere for the Spell Police. The evil Bad Grammar men have broken out the Excessive Punctuation Prison!!!(!!!). Quick! to the Whiteout Mobile!

  • lol

  • hey man nice tegu, also wots the song n whos it by cheers...

  • It's called Hell and Consequences by Stone Sour. :D

  • Wooo Stone Sour

  • i just picked up a BnW Colbumbian, 10 monts old... had him for a week, calmest guy i have ever seen.

  • this is a black and white argentine tegu right

  • beautiful tegu man...love how tame he is

  • dont they bite?

  • tegus and stone sour gotta love it

  • id never get anything like this... imagen if it managed to get outside and it eats your nextdoor neighbours pet cat...

  • Fact: Possible shows of emotion or "connection" are dependant on the SPECIES, not the group. SOME snakes can show interest in their owners, some Tegu's however, can't. Some reptiles live in groups, some dont.

FACT: Wood turtles can run mazes faster than most rats.

Fact: All animals will bite, sometimes for no reason. Whether your attached or not, always be wary. A tegu is a big animal. It can do you damage, if you somehow irk it. Never take an animal for granted.

    So speaketh I!

  • o: mine only bites when its hungry.

  • I've had experience of most of the species tending to be pretty... I dunno what word to use. "Flaccid." Their a comparitively chilled out species compared to say, Boscs or Niles. But I still wouldnt trust one of them with my face, hungry or not hungry. xD

I'm going to be purchasing some of my own pretty soon. I'm dying to keep them, I think their beautiful. But I'd always be careful with them though.

  • yeaah, i don't let mine chill all up in my face.

BUT TODAY, it was chillin on my head, and i couldn't get it off.

and i went inside to look for my father for assistance, and my mom flipped shit. bahahaha.

but i mean, it can be an ass at time. i won't pick it up without a glove for said reason :d

  • I'm quite possibly going to be getting a B&W soon myself, if all goes according to my great plan. But yeah, when I get mine, I'll generally be using gloves around it and using feeding tongs, but I'm still in research mode as to whether metal feeding tongs, or plastic ones are best suited for this species.

And yeah, I used to sit my brothers old Leopard gecko on my head. Had a helluva fun time getting it out of my hair later. Claws and hair pretty much suck, yeah.

  • @tw1stedgrudge Hard to imagine a turtle doing a maze faster than a rat... I guess I beleive you, mabey Im just not familiar with wood turtles. Must be fast-ass turtles lol

  • @Killerspider762 Mm'yep. Some rats will run down the same dead-end of a maze they did several times, whereas a wood turtle, it has often been found, doesnt. Thus, the rats tested often times take longer to complete the maze. Its sometimes more a matter of 'recall' or 'intelligence', in turtle/rat terms, rather than actual bodily speed. : )

  • @tw1stedgrudge

    Are you Dwight Schrute?

  • its not a monitor its in between the evolutionary stage of a lizard and a monitor but is concidered a lizard

  • I don't know if that's accurate South america and antarctica separated from the main land mass of pangea millions of years before this "evolutionary middle stage" could possibly have been achieved I think Tegus are just a different branch on the evolutionary tree not a "missing link" between modern lizards and the original monitors of 170 million years ago . . . but look it up and comment back cause i'm curious now i'll check it out

  • awesome tegu ya know fuck snakes this lizard is the best

  • sorry I got bit by a 12 foot saltwater croc this one time, so I am on a crusade against reptiles

  • it was ur fault

  • no they would give 17

  • jsin117-wow mate, way to ruin a good video. Thanks for watching! Now don't come back! >.>

  • Actualy tegu's are the only reptiles known to show affection, much like a cat or dog and can get excited when they see you.. please look stuff up before just shouting out crap especialy in a good video like this.. you deserved getting bit by a 12 foot croc

  • i dont think so anything can show affection

when i walk near my snake tank he comes out and hel watch me when im on the computr

  • I feel the same sometimes because my snake has never struck at me/hasnt bit me but scientific studies show that snakes dont have the cerebral capactiy to show affection.

  • iguanas show a degree of affection aswell when they are tamed and you dont have any others they will treat you like they love u and yes that guy diserved to get bit he was probally messin with the crok

  • ya im shure they will kill us theres more dog fatalitys than reptile so get out of here

keep a herp as a pet then talk

  • Well, yeah, they're not all that bright (you can pretty much see right through their ears), but I think they do get attached to the people they're used to. When you first get them, they're really scared of you, but after a while they let you handle them and carry them around on your shoulder. If you were a cricket, they'd probably eat you, but otherwise I don't think they mean any harm.

  • how long is he?

  • so big

  • Awsome tegu! check out my videos. i got my tegu eatting and etc. check it out?

  • i just bought a new born tegu today and they can get that big should i just return it for 2 gecko's

  • yes they get 4 feet long you shoudl of doen your research first b4 even thinking of purchesing a tegu they need alot of room and you should of had a tank the right temp and humit and had food there then after everything is done go get your reptile so yes if you cant take care of your tagu take it back (or if you live in ky ill buy it from you)

  • yea b4 i got mine i researched for about 10 hrs found soo much info i love my argen b/w

  • i wnat one so bad just they are 100+ i have a toss up of a tegu or a monitor lizard or a iguana

  • they r a little expensive but trust me they r good pets =)

  • Dude get the iguana.

  • That's not an iguana.

  • Never said it was I was telling the guy that posted a comment to get an iguana instead of a tegu.

  • how much do thay cost

  • $50 to $200 usually.

  • nice tegu!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • love ur tegu he/she is awsome

    i just subbed :)

  • Wtf is wrong with you?

  • What song is it?

  • something with stone sour..

  • how old is it

  • I need sum help i just got a baby argentine black and white tegu about 3 days ago and hes jumpey and always tries 2 snap at me ive tried petting him and puttin him in the tub what do i do can anybody send me a message on how i can tame him a little bit??

  • just keep holding him .. the more he gets use to you the less he'll stop panicing... are you sure its an argentina and not a columbian? i heard the columbians aren't as docile

  • how long do tegu lizards get

  • 4-5.5 feet long

  • ok thanks mate

  • don't go near him for a couple weeks, he just got moved to a new surrounding, he needs to get used to it. Once he is comfy with his new home start introducing yourself to it.

  • you just have to hold him every day and tri to feed him or her crickets outside of the cage so that its likke a treat to be taken out of the cage do that every time you go to pick it up congrats on the new babie i just picked my first tegu up on oct 4th its a red argentine mix so they say i think it might just be a red tegu though but boy is it pritty

  • where do u get a tengu and how much was it

  • um you can get black and white red tegus from reptile depot for $99

or just go to your local reptile store

  • the nails dont scratch up teh wood?

  • is that a columbian?

  • big init

  • cool i thought they were longer but the tail gives it most of its lenght im gettin one

  • nice tegu

  • This makes me miss mine. He was a columbian black and white. He was friendly but he was jumpie. Would smack his tail against the glass and try to act all mean. But he would let me put him on a leash (reptile leash) and he was happy across my shoulders when we went to the park

  • your tegu is wonderful

  • It looks like a blue Tegu.

  • Thats an argentine I have one they are awesome..And yea its safe for them to be around outlets they arent that curious to actually stick their fingers in the socket..my ferrets on the other hand will

  • Is that a Columbian or an Argentine?

  • BAMF

  • You sure it's okay for it to be close to power outlets and such?

  • dam! that's a big-as tegu! beautiful animal!

  • lol btw nathan tegus from the moniter family are often aggresive if not tamed srry to say it would rip you lil skinny water dragon to shreds even though i dont like watching animals fight the tegu would win.

  • I agree with the spirit of your comment, but tegus are not in the monitor family.

  • there hard to manage, mostly because they get so big. The nicest species is the Argentine Black and White. There also the biggest and smartest. They take about a 6'x2'x2' (length, width, height) at least so be prepared for a loving but big lizard if you decide to get one

  • Are tegus easy, medium or hard to manage? Also what is the nicest species of tegus?

  • relatively easy, except the LARGE enclosure part. Black and white ARGENTINE tegus are cool, not sure about blues or reds. I know black and white COLUMBIANS are nasty, as are golds

  • thanks!

  • how big can tegus grow?

  • BIG. Four feet or so, and hefty too.

  • can they beat my water dragon in a fight its 3 feet long and i think its over grown 3 feet now its nearly 4 feet and has to eat rats because mice are not satisfying

  • a fight? seriously... just stop.

  • you cant take it that my water dragon is unstoppable haha my dragon would eat any bodys tegu

  • how about a polar bear. I bet he wouldn't be so tough against a polar bear.

  • thats not a lizard you fool obviously the bear would win

  • how about a tiger with a sharks head? I bet that would win!

  • now you're talking!

    lol.

  • lol :)

  • The ultimate would be a ninja elephant riding a killer whale. Nothing messes with any of that stuff.

  • what about... a tiger doing backflips off a killer whale while a shark is being ridden by an elephant?

  • now you're just being silly, the cartilagenous skeleton of a shark is not enough support for an elephant!

  • WAY TO RUIN MY DREAM

  • teg is hard as nails he'll take on anyone,

he had a bash at a staffie bull terrier the other week and didnt even get scared of him.

tegus are the toughest medium sized lizard around.

    period

  • i disagree. they are very mild mannered

  • what lol?Tegu get eaten alot in wilds lol and killed by smaller animals lol

  • how much different r they from monitors?

    are tegus vicious?

  • they're not closely related but both have strong legs and arms. Vicious... meh. depends on your definition.

  • wat does meh mean? and by vicios i mean tolerance(which is more tolerant?) and when they grow to adults they dont try to attack the owner.

  • meh.. lol. it means 'eh'... I dont know if I can explain. LOL. But on average tegus are less 'vicious' by your definition.

  • meh means whatever or not of importance to the viewer or person who said meh

  • i love tegus, their so monitor like!!!!

not to mess with nature or anything, but has any one ever test their intelligence??

  • what do you mean by testing intelligence? i can see intelligence in him as he use 1 spot for his toilet. he learnt how to escape from his tank

  • Is that a Columbian or Argentine? I'm a proud owner of a columbian, "Norbit" who's slowly becoming tame, yet he still likes to sing.

  • I think it is an Argentine. I have an Argentine and it looks the same.

  • For a while there I got kinda worried with all those cables all over your tegu's path.... any plan to tidy em up a bit? Or have you been sure that he won't bite those stuffs?

Anyway, I especially like how he scans your camera :D

  • i cant post pics of wild ones as i live in manchester uk. but it would be nice to see vids of them in there natural habitat.

i hear rumours that they steal fishermens sandwiches and there catches(i.e fish) is this true?

  • I can see where lblackyl is coming from lo,....in argentia they attack the people. and kill there livestock.

maybe you could post some vids of some wildones

  • How old is he?? I cant wait for my argentine red tegu to grow that size

  • he is just over 1 year old

he loves his food. thats why he is so big plus i let him have a very large living space so he can grow fast he now lives in the flat with me he only uses his tank when it gets cold

  • zoo tycoon 1

    birds

  • cool tegu whats the song in the background?

  • It's from Stone Sour

  • What kind of tegu is he?

  • he is an argentinian black and white tegu

  • ur sick

  • whats sick is closed minded people who wouldnt think of having one of these great reptiles as a pet.

    so.... youre sick... loser...

  • Lol idiot, i live where those animals are from, and they are not nice :\

  • Daaaww! He was so cute when looking at the camera. He was all like: "Whazz this? Whazz this?" XD

  • i know he is very cute its like if he was licking the camera...

  • lol has he eaen the neihbors cat yet

  • thats a big tegu!!!

  • THAT IS ONE NICE TEGU
