  • Yay, the netherlands! :)

  • alderbrook frankfield cork ireland

  • ALL THE LOVERS - KYLIE MINOGUE

  • Smart Lovers

  • its really amazing what google has accomplished over the years....

  • I want to see cairo Egypt map

  • i wish we had google street view in germany... without the censorship.

  • @WindowsSoftwareDe die leute haben halt hier mehr privatsphärenrechte als sonst wo ;P

  • @WindowsSoftwareDe What censorship?

  • I wish this were obvious to me earlier. Otherwise yeah, street view is really hard to use. I also wish one could just click where on the map to go rather than awkwardly drag and drop the stupid yellow guy.

  • i hope there will be a live camera that actually moving each time we moving the mouse. dam yaw! ;p

  • this is rediculas

  • i know its supposed to do this ..but mine just zooms in all the time... surely google wizards can make a slicker way ..just like say using the scroll wheel on a mouse or something !?

  • I can't find anywhere to type in the address I want on the site for street view. I can get a regular map and satellite view, but that's it.

  • @ladybluluv

    1. Type in the address on google maps and press enter

    2. drag the yellow man icon to a road/address (as long as the road is highlighted in blue).

    3. Wait a few seconds, it depends how fast your connection is

    4. You are now in street view at your chosen address!

    5. Have fun.

  • how do they do the 360 on an image? I don't really get how it's flat while you can still turn 360 and not see the picture changing... is it somehow 3d while it does not look like it?

  • To add, I dream of Street View just like "rabitt605" and "kendanelione" do, with an option of continual moving along (not sequential) enabling us to regulate our moving speed, perhaps a couple of speed options, and eventually to be enabled to turn around 360 while in move, also with one click to stop moving forward another to continue with it, things like that. That would be perfect, one biiiiiiig step ahead, most likely the biggest among big steps already done by Google.

  • Stereet View (along with the Google Earth of course) is my favorite program on the net and I spend 70% of my available time on net using those programs. Mostly I have been on the Street View but to be honest it couldn't be working 100% efficiently without Google Earth in addition. Like body with two hands, with only one hand you won't be as able as with both of your hands.

  • no shit Sherlock !

  • i want japan please

  • dont know why not view the germany ....??

  • Hopefully there will be a driving simulator, just as there is a flight simulator, in Google Earth. That would be really cool!

  • Yea it's called GTA 4 XD

  • Nice ThinkPad!!

  • pro...i never knew this...sad it takes a video to point this out

  • i have seen that car you can see me on street view!

  • lol, where?

  • How do you navigate faster on street view? Mine is so damn slow, I have a macbook...would Snow Leopard help?

  • It's great! what a service! and I alway's beleive why be afraid unless you got something to hide!, the people who are out to get certain type's of people will get them anyHow! great service Giggle.laff

  • True, I suppose.

    :/

  • now... if only Google actually HAD that resolution for REAL street view... but nope, they have to accommodate all the people who don't want to be seen in public!

  • As soon as people start talking about getting seen on the internet, they get really scared for some reason, not realising that we walk past millions of people each year and are constantly being recorded by security cameras, i couldnt care less about being seen on google street view, i have nothing to hide, so why should i.

  • yes, exactly...

    Neither do I

  • Right, but not everybody is able to watch the securitiy captures ;D

That's the difference between street view and security cameras :)

  • witness protection program?

  • @Mattiemus Soon they will stamp the "mark of the beast" right on your ass cheeks using google street view and facebook to learn your habits, likes and next of kin should you try to flee the tribulation period following the second coming of christ.

  • @rayamanelly Amen!!!!!!!

  • @Mattiemus

I guess it all depends on where you were at the time and what you were doing!

  • no on hannover

  • WTf this not work on israel ?

  • crumbs that's cool!

  • When will this be on google earth?! This is absolutely amazing.

  • I wish Streetview came with a cruise mode. Where you would just cruise straight until you had to turn or the user told the computer to turn left or right at next available left or right theoritically just moving along any road until it ended if user pressed nothing.

  • @kendanielone

I wish there were more roads that actually HAD street view. Here in West Virginia, there are lots of pretty sites, and very few of them are recorded because here, they only follow the roads marked in orange. That also means that roads like Spring Gap Road are only half-recorded.

  • @kendanielone this mode is available in google earth, just switch to streetview mode and use arrowkeys for navigation.

  • @goliathIV I'm trying it, but so far if I let go of the arrowkeys, it soon afterward stops moving.

  • google's streetview technology is still very lower than e*a*r*t*h-m*i*n*e

  • Google is the BEST.

  • Making information unavailable to people is not going to stop terrorism, sheesh I swear idiots are born every single day. I should start my own religion to take advantage of them and take money away from them so they don't hurt anybody.

  • Look which hand the user uses and on which side the mouse is ;-)))

  • Terrorists using uppercase-screaming!?

  • That's just rude I think. On top of being a terrorist he's got cap lock on. Doubly wrong.

  • Allow me to ask a question:

    What *doesn't* Google do right?

  • Ohhh! Google I love you

  • this is class,

it is way better than tapping the mouse like 100 times

    Google is brilliant

  • iap....you guys did it again! keep working I cant wait to see what is next!

  • Actually what I think their next move to be will to input a starting and ending destination and then hit 'play' (with a variable speed control for the slow parts in between) - and you'll be able to watch a road trip from a real vantage point with no stops or clicks needed from the viewer.

Anyway - I think that would be cool and the next logical step. I'm sure they have the data, brains and know-how to pull this off.

  • tomtom navigation systems have done this for years, though admittedly not with the streetview images obviously!

  • A stalkers dream

  • another tool for stalkers out there glad this map system can't do this on my street i live to far out in the country

  • Wow! Amazing! Very good idea! Very, very, very good Google!

  • Absolutely Incredible. Thanks Google for continuing your excellent work on maps. Win!

  • Thats amazing just when I thought they couldn't improve it anymore

  • FANTASTIC!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

  • fcking great..

  • Google..waaayyyyyyyyy better than Bing. =]

  • Google makes so much in ad revenue, they can afford to make all this seriously cool stuff on a whim!

    I love this company!

  • hm, it is still required a lot of improvements

  • Great work Google!

  • where is our god now

  • wooooow..... google is crazy

    i love u

  • FM synth!

  • lol 'i can see my house from here'lolXD

  • damn they shoulda gona to the redlight district in amsterdam, infact im gonna do that right now!

  • When do we get to look in to every house and every room? When will we get to walk our streets like in SecondLife?

  • admiration, respect, and appreciation.

  • Google is leaps and bounds ahead of any web company! Keep up the great work google, you hold the key to our future

  • Very good that electronic music was used in this video.

The futuristic rhythms are kind of generic, but definitely in the right direction.

  • calgary,canada doesnt work!

  • I tried this yesterday. It's great. Try this for fun. Aim a circular pattern way down at the end of a road and double click. You will get a warp speed rush! Try it and you'll know what I'm talking about. Do a YouTube Search on "Google Holodeck" and check out the first result. Really awesome!

  • Oh god the mouse. What the hell is going on? Lefty mouse, right side of keyboard? New tech looks amazing though - I for one welcome our new google overlords.

  • Google blows my mind

  • You're so right, dilbau. After watching the video it's pretty clear that Street View is not only difficult to use, it's not innovative nor a particularly useful tool. And how dare Google give it to us for free.

And speaking of tools, you dilibau, are a tool of the highest order. It's ironic that you're making your negative comments on yet another awesome Google product, YouTube.

  • Google bought Youtube, they didn't come up with the idea.

  • so the mouse is on the right of the keyboard, using it with left hand AND double clicking the right mouse button. WTF Charles.

  • probably the most down to earth company ive seen, their research and development is amazing

  • You maps team totally rock!

  • why did he pressed the right mouse button?

  • he's left handed, and you can set the mouse to be left handed, thus the keys are backwards

  • Google will have total domination of the world by 2020.

  • I think it'll only take 'til 2015.

  • You forget about 2012 :)

  • Wow just WOWOWOWOW

  • I want to have Google's babies.

  • Where will they stop?! Wow! :)

  • This is cool but kind of annoying at the same time. I don't like the little box following me around.

I hope they include a button to turn it on and off.

  • ima "google drive" using this...

  • damn that's awesome !!

  • Very Cool ~Thanks!

  • awesome

  • I'm impressed by the technology. Great feature! :D

  • If google would rule the world, it would be a better place.

  • hardcore...

  • nossa vai quebrar o mouse

  • cool
