It's funny that I saw this film before I liked Oasis... so I got the reference but it was so not important that I had forgot. But today, a friend of mine that only know oasis because I like, lol. Talked about that and I came to see it again . lol

It's funny to picture Liam and Noel making up with the same girl . LOL! Kinda not possible, but very funny to imagine .

I can't speak for all Americans so I'll just speak for myself. I did NOT get the reference but, I wasn't confused about the scene. I laughed at the context -not at the name dropping. Also, I feel that Russel Brand is quite possibly my favorite 'Celebrity' alive today. There is nothing about this man that I dislike. I also feel that he's a refreshing alternative to all other popular people that represent my generation on stage and in movies. I hope he comes back to NY so I can see him live.
