Ok heres how it worked:

First, the parasites infected people in the town, this lead to frank escaping and isebella escaping the mall. As the infection spread it took out racoon city (RE) and spread to greater cities. Then it evolved into faster and stronger zombies that lead to new kinds of infected. This made the infected stronger and faster, which lead to the zombie appocalypse (L4D) which causes the world to change.
