As I was remembering this song, looking for the lyrics on the internet, I ran across this wonderful rendition offered by Niecy " Denise WIlliams." This song speaksthe sentiments of my calling, to serve the Lord, it is a longing in my soul. God forbid that I should glory in anything, but the cross. It reminds me of Isaiah 61:1-2.

Wow! I heard this song back in the fall of 1986 and, ever since then, I have wondered what it was (I was pretty sure it was called "My Soul Desire") and who it was by. I would have never guessed Deneice Williams (since I had no idea she was a Christian singer - I associate her more with her pop hits like "Let's Hear It For The Boy".)
