i have an 87 thunderbird t-coupe and all i did was install a manual boost control valve and the thing just rips its fast. i managed to do a 3rd gear burnout with it, wasnt hard at all but then it squirrels all over the road.
nice burn ....I want one of the SVO mustangs...a guy in my town swapped a TC engine in a ranger the thing is sick ! and whothehellisbooboo...thats right...WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? not a gearhead because gearheads LOVE burnouts..U wanna prove a point show us you doin a better Burnout with your car(if you have one) instead of being a asshole on youtube. i love people who look this stuff up and talk shit cuz they are dickless and hide beind youtube ud get ur ass beat talkin at a car show like that
Thats pretty good for a 4 cyl. Was it stock? i'd love to get one of these myself, great MPG when you drive it right, but fast as hell when you drive it wrong, or the other way around; depends how you think about it. (;
and a 5 speed and was wondering if you knew if they all came with a limited slip diff because i gave it some gas arround a turn earlier and it only spun one tire but i have done it before and it's kicked it sideways and lit them both up?
If you have a thunderbird TURBO, there all limited slip. If you have a 5.0 ONLY THE SPORT has a limited slip. a normal 5.0 DONT. but the way it works, is when one tire starts to spin, if im corect its the left rear, the other one (right rear) will spin to try to get some traction. Depending on what type of thunderbird you might have, it might just be electrical problems, but it you dont have the turbo or the sport, you just have a sucky diff
i found out what it was is the car has 117k miles and the clutches in the the lsd were worn out on the left side (so if i wanted to spin both tires when turning i had to turn left sliding out to the right)
and changed the stack from steel,friction,steel,friction,steel,friction,steel to
steel,friction x2,steel,friction x2,steel
which locks it up alot more(according to the internet forum i learned it from it makes it an 85% lsd instead of about 35-40% lsd stock)
@0to60in16seconds maybe you need a rebuild, as the car ages, the clutches in the LSD tend to wear out and cause it to behave more and more like an open rear, but yes you should have a traction lok 7.5 rear
i sold my 87 to a guy that was building an svo mustang. i sold my 88 to a guy so i could get my mini bike. i got my income tax so i would have had them running now. o well maybe next year. or i just might get a super coupe. i did not own one of those yet.
sick
