  • Dude that smoker is awesome, ive made four smokers form scratch myself. All different sizes for all different types of venues. They range in size from a 27' trailer to a classice backyard patio smoker. My first one i made was out of an old 1950's steel fridge in high school shop class.

  • fire it up , and put that damn rooster on there !

  • We're gonna be building a rig soon. I checked with one of the local propane companies for out of service tanks. He's willing to sell them for what he gets per pound at the scrap metal yard, which is 7-10 cents per pound. Total for a 250 to 300 gal tank is going to be about $50. I plan on filling it with water which will displace any remaining gas. We'll post a video when it's done. Maybe a build video would be cool.

  • how did you go about purging the tank before cutting on it? I've been wanting to build one of these, but kinda worried about it blowing up when I take the torch to it.

  • @007380 you're right to be worried about it as cutting into an "empty" propane tank is a sure-fire way to send yourself to the moon. Fill that God-damned tank with water first!

I want to build one as well, I just need to locate an old propane tank, I'm thinking about going to my local propane supplier but I'm worried they're going to think that I wish to replace the propane with amonium nitrate and kerosene. Then there's the bit about unscrewing the tank valve..........

  • Can I get me one of tees made with Karky camouflage colours ???

And have it shipppped over to da boys in Iraqu?

  • The yard bird in the background sounds ready start the coals.

  • graet work

  • I've had bbq from Full Service BBQ. And if it was cooked on this smoker then it is a great smoker. Because the bbq was wonderful.

  • you ever want to give one away for a good cause! let me know! meanwhile i will play the lotto! you are one of the top smoker builders i have seen. and trust me i have done a ton of research. i know good fabrication when i see it. A++

  • Thanks for sharing this. Its exactly the type of unit I want to make. Love the small side grill on the wheel. I'll probably lower the cooking surface so I will have more room to turn a whole pig.

  • building the smoker is half the fun great job your friends from bbq smoker on klamath HQ

  • Excellent workmanship on your rig!

    Bravo!

  • That's tight man, Beautifull job on that smoker

  • How long does it take to heat that puppy up? I have one made out of a propane tank set up on a motorcycle trailer. Thing about these smokers is once they heat up they hold the heat very well! Nice smoker you have you did a good job on it! Take care!

  • Kick Ass Man! Thats one sweet looking grill.
