Isn't there anyone else out there who realises the Govorom were the best? (At least in large/very large galaxies?). The Chamachies are fun to play with (and better than maybe half the species), but unless playing an average or smaller galaxy size, their time to churn out ships doesn't compensate for their research ability. Frutmaka are good/cool too, but not among the most powerful to use.

Damn.. I grew up on this game.. Played it inside-out. It's a fantastic game.. so inspiring! I remember always feeling so sad for the Swaparamans due to the conflict with the Frutmaka.. Heh, their music is so sad also. I also hated the Nimbuloid theme xD ..and thought the Minions were the most mysterious race of all..

This game has so many original races, they really tickle the human mind. Maybe it's been done before (Nimbuloids and Sylandro from Star Control 2?) and it isn't as original as I believe it to be, but who cares, it beats the crap out of what aliens most sci-fi's invent: "Lo and behold I am an alien. I look almost identical to a human except for some unimportant characteristic such as skin color or a new bone or antenna on my forehead", or those pathetic anthropomorphic animals labeled as aliens.

Loved the game, even loved the music more. I ripped the music about two years ago from the game files, they are quite strangely arranged, so thanks for that awesome composition.

I like the music you hear while playing the best, especially the antonin dvorak like sounds. Chilling!

OMG i loved this game...back in the late 90's this was the best game...spent so many hours playing this with a friend back then...good times. I still have the game (original on CD) except it doesn't run on my current computer-it loads and then I hear the music and can hear when I move the mouse over icons but the whole screen is black. How do i fix this? Can somebody help me?

Great music from a classic game from 1995. I played this game a lot back then. The game has shitty AI and too much micromanagement, but the atmosphere is incredible. After seeing this vid I'll probably fire up the game in dosbox LOL.

The Logic Factory will probably never finish Seeker, much less Ascendancy 2.

@Feadraug lol the chamachie's are for noobs, they are so unfair >.<. Thats the one thing about this game that I always found funny, there are 21 races but like 6 are actually good.

I love this game but to be pro you have to use the campoleons, their special is completely useless. i really hope they make the sequel to this game, But i also hope seeker is good, I might buy it.

@ih8makinusernames Are you sure you've played the game in depth? Once the investigation is done, Chamachies are done for good and their special ability is nothing but useless. Also, I've always thought the n00b species was the Dubtaks, stealing from others with no effort.

And Capelons aren't hard to use, they just suck, but Oculons and Swaparmans have their share of suckiness.

Oh, and for now, it looks like The Logic Factory isn't alive... or something like that.

@Feadraug I have. THe chamachies get so far aheead that while everyone is still building large hull ships they come in with giagantic ships armed with carbonizers and nanotwirilers and all sorts of fun stuff. They are really easy to win as. I think the logic facotry is still alive, if just barly. They are tryign to make a full blown RPG that may or may not ever come out.
