  • Experience this energy live and direct! Abraham Burton, Eric Revis and Nasheet Waits are appearing at the Eastside Cultural Center in Oakland, Ca. Sunday May 22nd.

  • Surely Burton is still searching his own voice, but he has got feeling. The two drummers are great: well balanced and creative -no noise at all - It is a plesure for my ears! Thanks.

  • Burton sounds like a carbon copy of Coltrane. He needs to man up and get his own sound.

  • and who might you be, big man?

  • @kjfkdsfable I can hear influences but everyone is influenced by Coltrane. Be more careful when you open your mouth.

  • @kjfkdsfable it's funny how this guy says "be more careful when you open your mouth" as if he's gonna come break your legs or something. I agree with you, he's is playing so much like Coltrane, I kinda want to hear something else, and that's the challenge of "jazz" as time passes. How do you find your own voice when so much has already happened? but that what it is, and unfortunately, not too many people deliver.

  • I love the Burton/McPherson combination. I want them to cut a new record.

  • This is tight...I dig it

  • HEYELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
