Is a higher HP NA LT1 easier to do than a higher HP LSx NA? Seems like I see more lt1s in the 750-800+ range than LSx's. In my race car I want a 98+ TA body with a 1000hp LSx, but maybe LT1 would be cheaper/better. Either will be expensive I know.

yeah definitely no mail order tunes my buddy had a 700 hp 5.4 f150 and they got a mail order tune and lets just say it didnt stay 700hp when it put a rod through the block so he had a pro tuner flown down here to tune the truck

where are you located? there are few places that can do mail order tunes.

dont do a mail in order for that setup. If you got the money go to a pro shop and get it tuned there. Look on google or LS1tech and talk to some guys to find a good place. Cause Youtube you dont always get the best answers lol

It is built. Solid roller 397. Cam is a custom grind and would make the magic stick seem very mild.

This is one sick camaro. I cant believe it but i just came across this video and im looking at the owners name an it seemed so familiar. Dumb me i realize this is the car featured in a chevy high performance mag in a whole section about finding lt1s. Someone i knew actually gave me the mag after i picked up a 93 z28 about 2 years ago and told me to check out the spread in that issue feat this car. I believe this car is set up with a 396 and was expected to get a 400 shot of juice pretty soon...

Depends on your heads, ci, compression, .......etc.

Agressive would be like a 268/276 701/704 107 lsa You would need to spin your LT1 to the moon for it to get its full potential. Drivability would suck.

No opti on this car. He converted to a "crab" style distributor. An opti-spark would never be able to handle the power or track abuse a car like this would put out. Atleast not reliably!

i thought the same thing with my lt1....it seems everybody does a 383 stroker and I wanted a 396 or a 408 to get more power...until somebody a lot smarter than i am(with cars) told me that the difference between a 396 and a 408 is not that big, not only is the power difference not that big, but anything bigger than a 383 really leaves your block vulnerable to cracking because it thins it out so much.but it is ur choice...Eagle makes the best kits..look on ebay they are about 1500 then labor:( )

It's the LT series 350 motors, LT1s and LT4s. Intake plenum and distributor locations are the main identification of an LT1/LT4.
