  • a little too much bite

  • damn i thought that 12 car was gonna be the one to flip

  • wow talk about about a tight car....... fail

  • haha almost flipped from the start of the straight to the end........

  • @tannner43 #12 didnt flip #53 did

  • is this rc cars?,with remote control people?it sure fuckin looks like it.

  • @green66vw no

  • What track is this?

  • @TOPGUNCANADA00 i-30 speedway in little rock arkansas

  • @tannner43 shit driver

  • @Discofreestyle if he is a shit driver then why did he win back to back a features last saturday and tonite at eagle raceway ?

  • The air underneath the wing is a good explanation, I too have seen it with road racing cars, but I have seen flips like this with sprintcars that are wingless. They are getting 900hp nowadays with these cars, combine that with a 108in diameter right rear tire, direct drive and only weighing 1,000lbs, these cars are truly driven on the edge.

  • jack dover LOL what a name

  • I don't know anything much about Sprint Cars, but I know that in other racing getting your nose up a little is a great way to get flipped backwards from the drag of the air hitting the underside of the car. I've seen videos of long, low Le Mans-type cars blown backwards and into the air when they hit a bump and got the nose a tiny bit up at like 150+ mph. Of course, they have big, flat bottoms too, which might make it worse I guess.

  • first ever wheelie drift

  • you see this sort of stuff a fair bit, either hitting a rut or stood on it too hard,

  • and thats what happens when you get to much bit

  • I'm not so sure that was Jack Dover driving. Does he have a brother called Philip (or Flip for short)?

  • where was this at

  • @Mackita........ummmmm they are. Less drag = faster ...its not my opinion its facts. Ive been clocked at sharon speedway doing 120 mph entering the turn with a wing. Also been clocked wingless 127 mph. And thats just a 360 ascs patriot.

  • @jrock7j He did have the wing pulled back too far but front weight isnt a bad idea... wtf do u think a nose wing is for? downforce AKA WEIGHT! so he should have slid the wing forward a little and put more angle in the front to keep them down... dont degrade ppl if you yourself happens to be retarded

  • someone really said a non wing car is faster than a winged car. thats funny

  • drop the wing down on the back to put more of a load on the back tires and this would of not happened more then likely.

  • @yamahabansheerider

actually this would have happened alot more violently.

this shit happens from TOO MUCH grip.

  • @yamahabansheerider

    /downforce

  • them jokers use to have about 800 hp no shit there gonna do that lol

  • @MrGunth3r

used to? they still run 800+ on methanol, got a friend who races a non wint with a used aluminum 410 pushin high 700s

  • holy shit. the block in his car must be badass

  • get off the throtal??? haha iv never drove a sprint car i race hobby stock but it looks like he stayed on the throtal the hole time. must of been very focused on the checkerd

  • love you Gasman!

  • The flip had nothing to do with the track. The top wing (and the nose wing, for that matter) are angled at such a degree to add downforce to the car without reaching a terminal point where the engine would no longer be able to combat the downforce on the wings. However, when the belly of the wings are exposed to the wind, the wings act more like airplane wings, lifting the car off of the ground instead of adding downforce. He was doomed as soon as his front wheels left the ground.

  • Comment removed

  • haha atleast he got the fun out of it by doing a wheelie

  • jack dover. one hell of a sprint car driver, and a young one at that!.

  • non-winged are harder..

  • he just needs to remember not to hit the nitrous until he's outta the turn next time.

  • so, did he try to fight himself in the pits?

  • Now, im no expert... But i believe the reason it flipped wasnt because of the power, It either had soemthing to do with a tacky spot in the track, or a gust of wind lowerd the down pressure on the front of the car...

    Sweet video though!

  • All I can see is dollar signs... $.$

  • the guy who was behind the car that flipped probably shitted his pants

  • @microracer85 i would think the driver of the car that flipped shit his pants too.

  • @microracer85 "shitted" is not a word. try "shat" next time

  • an sprint car can do that running on alchohol . just think 850+ hp and only 900-1200 pounds , think of that power to weight ratio .

  • real soft RR torsion bar !

  • I like how two of my local guys get recognition. Brian Bell #23 and Kenny Coke #24W. What track is this?

  • any sprint car 360 or 410 can do this on a grippy track. ive seen it at my local track when the ess sprints run there. not a full on backflip but the guy got out of the throttle in time if he hadnt he couldve gone over. sucks this guy has to buy a new wing tho.

  • he probably had to buy a lot more than that the whole front of that car is totaled and a flip like that will bend shocks, bars and axles

  • Or more, shitty. Kool too watch these but I know the cost.

  • Freaking AWESOME!!! That's why I love Sprinters, Just AWSOME!!!

gotta laugh though, I mean, the dudes name is Jack dover!!!! Say it fast it sounds like jaked over

    LOLalot

  • then theres some guy named preston peebles lol

  • lol my name is preston but not peebles

  • hey man get in a sprinter and then tell me who gets jaked over. it would be you

  • may be the awsomest thing iv ever seen

  • he found a nice sticky part of the track ;) thats just abit of bad luck right there

  • Holy crap, do they have a jump going into turn one!!!!! Look at the cars bouncing around.

  • he was getin read y to fly :O

  • guess he had a bit too much grip at that

  • he just hooked up a lil too much

  • that was tremendous!!

  • what track is that at

  • micros are hard enough but sprint cars ........

  • It's Bill Wright and "Hot" Rod Pattison on the commentary.

  • i go to the same school as him.

  • guess he had it set up wrong

  • Thats Jack Dover. He signed my go-kart he's a awesome sprint car racer.hope you make it to the pro's.

    good luck jack

  • must be "awesome" when he cant even use throttle control to keep the front end on the ground...

  • Ride300exRed, ur a damn retard pal, the kid is 20 yrs old, hes one of the best damn sprint car drivers in the midwest, so pipedown moron unless you know what you're talking about. Kid can run the wheels off a 360 (in the vid) and a 410

  • BTW his names Jack Dover, his sister Trish Dover also runs sprints, she runs 305's and midgets

  • he got bumped out of the groove, backed out and that made the rr dig in (not good), then he tried to recover with throttle when it was already too late. Happens late in the night if you started out running soft compounds on a loose track, then it gets glazed over after dozens of heats. this happens every satruday night somewhere, just usually not such a dramatic wheelstand. normally it's just enough to unload the fr and push you into the wall

  • lol

i thought these were rc cars at first

  • are you retarded -.-

  • great quality video...what make/model of camcorder was used? super camera-work! Cheers,

  • Pretty sure this was done by a television broadcast company. Major clue to that: Commentators!

  • hahaha it was not done by a televison broadcast company.

I helped out for many years with the recording of the races at my local dirt tracks and we had commentators on our videos as well, we tapped into the tracks PA system to get the commentators on our videos.

  • Also RR tyre might have been in too far.

  • It looks to me like his RR torsion bar was too soft and/or his RR shock. Also he could have cranked the wing forward a tad. But hey what do I know.

  • Guess the track was tacky that night

  • stood on it's dick

  • Talk about the car hooking up!

  • Comment removed

  • this is my home town track, I-30 speedway in little rock arkansas so dont talk shit about it and this is the short track nationals and the track was actually very good that yeat!

  • im with u but not all the tracks can b perfect all the time.. thats all im sayin.. my track2 some nights its the best track, others i dont even wanna go out there cuz the car might get screwed up from all the holes and bumps.... thats all im saying!

  • what r u guys talking about!!!!! he didn't lift in the turn, then he went 2 hard and never let up... thats y he flipped. that happens all the time at my track, not to brag but me and my bro r the best drivers there, if my bro would listen better he may be better than me!!!!!!

  • damn thats some power my car cant even get that much power i barely get mine off the ground.

  • that guy needs to learn how to control the car thats just getting on the pedal to early and to hard.

  • that jupton dude is fucking nuts. how many 16 year old kids do you know that have made the feature at the knoxville nationals. if your gonna make comments on here at least know what your talking about.

  • I'm sorry if I offended anyone with my earlier comment. Dirt racing is all with your head. A winged sprint is the hardest car to drive. He simply hooked up and weelied over the right rear. Period!!! I've spent 14 years racing on dirt. There is no such thing as too much forward bite. Throtle controle and feeling the car (right rear) is what seperates winners from wreckers. At speeds over 100 mph you have to anticipate every-thing the car is going to do, and react befor it happens. PERIOD!

  • I was hoping someone would tell these retards that. I haven't spent 14 years on dirt but i knew that (I have only raced 2 years)

  • amen, these kids have no idea what kind of stones it takes to sit in one of these monsters. I'm out now, but when I drove (micro's) I wouldn't even wear underwear or socks, you HAVE to feel it to own it. Sounds like you know what it's like to be in that "zone". I took a couple laps in a friends full size (AJ Wendt) many years ago and quickly decided I couldn't handle the big toys. These are monsterous unforgiving machines.

  • shit bub them micro sprints steering is wicked as hell. i raced micros for about 2 years at limaland and upgraded to the sprints just alot more power and alot more money. honestyly them micros sacred the shit outta me didnt like the handleing one bit so hard to run the same line

  • @stringbean56x man for someone that has been racing on dirt for 14 years your a dumbass! WINGED sprint cars are NOT the hardest to drive! Non winged sprint cars are by far harder than a winged sprint car.. you actually have to drive the car.. no doubt getting in any form of a sprint car winged or non takes some big balls BUT winged sprint cars practically steer them selves around the track, if the car is setup correctly that is..

  • @DavidW2340 Your right, wing cars dont flip in qualifying. Non wings are way harder to drive, there faster and harder to steer. So stringbean56x your way off!

  • wow! it looket liked he jumped on the gas a little too hard exiting th turn

  • he entered the turn to straight because the the other driver turned down on him kinda pinched him off and had to back off and when he got back on the gas it transfered all the wieght to the right rear.been there done that.I have been racing for many years and its still fun.

  • lol

  • holy crap. the wings had a big part in how the crash ended

  • that looks like a shitty track.

  • this is actually a very good track so do some research b4 u say any thing!!.... i gess u dont race! not all the tracks can b perfect all the time......

  • i'm talking about the whole track in general: shit

  • cooooooooooooooooooool!

  • Jack Flip Dover

  • i know jack dover even when he was in a minny sprint

  • i also know Jack Dover ive attended some of his races but his father and my step dad are very good friends and look Jack has one of the best crews i have ever seen he is also a great driver

  • i know him

  • He got into the the corner tight. Spun the tire to make it turn, slid up onto the cushon, didn't anticipate hooking up, felt no need to lift untill it was too late. pulled a wheelie, no reflexes are quick enough to lift in time and pulled it over the right rear. Adding weight in the front of a dirt car is not the answer. Driving with your head is.

  • shut up

  • if any racers out there want a tip...replacing atleast your right rear tire every week, really helps a lot. also ask around at your track what a good stagger setup is. if you have a competitive motor, and you can drive, stagger and new tires are what you need to win

  • Whoever said they need weight in the front just go make some cookies with your mommy and leave the racin to the real guys. OOOORAH

  • lol cross weight is one of the most considerable things in dirt cars. if you dont have your cross weight correct...well you get the picture. plus it doesnt help slowing down, whipping the tail end and jammin on the gas either...learn to drive monkey nuts...lol

  • LOL if you dont know Sprint Car Racing DONT TALK.. its all about cross weights, and nose weight NO! u want the front end to come up on the straight aways. For the wing, we move them up on turns and down on straight aways. usually i dont touch mine really but some do. Sprint is way different that ur lil street car racing.. u have a 1200 lb car with 800 of raw hp. key word SPRINT and for all the sprint car lovers Lucus Wolf GL in WoO this year!

  • you jrockk7j u are a tool.

  • have u ever met jrock7j or seen his resume? if not, shut the fuck up!

  • You guys are tools. These cars weigh 1200 lbs. Their made to transfer weight. Why would you put weight in the front? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The weight goes to the rear of the car to put more of a load on the rear end to keep the tires from spinning. Putting weight in the front makes about as much sense as running the fuel cell in the front. The track is wet and hooked up, he should have flattened the wing and ran a lot of air in the rear tires.

  • jrock knows what hes talkin about! if its the same guy that i've heard of, hes won many BIG races!

  • Right on dude! Out the fuel cell in FRONT! (Most these fools with comments dont know what a cell is) roflmao! People will say anything just to hear themselves. I Just bought a micro.

  • @jrock7j Noseweight on dirt makes A LOT of sense. I'm sure there's already a good bit of weight in the nose to get his percentages right. All that is, is 1000 HP hookin' up and doing what's its going to always do....HAMMER! With a racetrack that tacky, airing the rear tires up wouldn't make one lap without being in the fence. That was just an unlucky break..Course the track wasn't in that good of shape either....Go easy on em man, Not everyone is a dirt king like you.

  • @jrock7j thank you, somebody who knows what they're talking about

  • weight in the front?! The point of a winged sprint car is to have the wings create downforce which means extra weight is not needed. In this instance, the driver simply got in the throttle at the wrong time...once air is under the wing it does the opposite of its intent...which makes the car take flight. Weight is not the problem

  • The title should be changed to "Sprint Car with No Nose"

  • weight in front of car might help .... just a thought

  • all the weight is in the front the damn motor sits their

  • Aww...that's too bad for Jack Dover.

  • yea but not as easy...put wieght in the front angle the wing down more

  • damn put some weight in the front

  • thats just a case of too much forward bite

  • there just isnt enough weight in the front

  • even with weight in the front they wiil still do that

  • WOW
