  • Those girls are bad ass! You first world folks have everything served on a platter. Its not fair to judge these kids because this is the choice available for them, and if they do well they can make a good life for themselves. Or would you rather see them go into prostitution to feed themselves?

  • this is another prime example of American views being forced upon other societies, Yes this does show some of the bad parts of fighting in the world of muay thai in Thailand but I can take any sport in the world give me a camera crew and some interviews I could make basketball seem like its a mean sport that we force upon our black soicety lol

  • does anyone know where i can watch the full documentary?

  • No teeth guard because there baby teeth.

  • Yes they have mouth guards on, and if you train day in and day out, its not that big of an issue on top of that why dont they mention that they have weight classes and fight people at the same level this isnt a mismatch of any sorts football got more injuries...and if their families are poor you rather them work in sweat shops or sell sex or become good at a trade that gets respect and maybe one day make them a star and damn u.s.a needs muay thai instructors bring them over if you care! so much

  • Muay thai is thainland main sport, is a culture, is a life they live there. Not just a crappy martial arts, thats the way they live. Before people start saying things about other country, they need to learned the history background first.....

  • I really liked how they had some film maker as the primary source; a guy who knows nothing about Muay Thai. Terrible documentry.

  • normal american better then thou bullshit attitude. they should sell meth or join the sex trade in an HIV infested industry instead.

  • these people are idiots... muay thai is an art and the thais are the best in the world it isnt just senseless violence its a way of life and a way to make a better life ...this doco to the thai would be like trying to tell an american not to play football

  • God these people are ignorant.

  • what about kids here doing karate and doing shit like that. these people are retards. its a way of life over there

  • its a way of life, a life you can fight for cause its real

  • this goes on to say how americans are so different the training that muay thai fighters go through is pretty close to gymnast and parents get their children started in that sport very early as well. as an ex gymnast i can tell you i have suffered some pretty intense injuries and scars as a young girl and the parents in that sport are almost as brutal (minus the betting) jsut my thoughts because even tho muay thai is a contact fighting it is still a sport and a respected one.

  • its cool seeing what these kids can do, but kids should be forced to wear mouth peaches, gloves, shin guards & Headgear, when the kids get over 18, then they can turn pro & fight without the safety equipment, but I'm an american & that is just my opinion, things are different in thailand

  • Sawadee Krub,

This has been going on in Thailand for a very long time..the law says at 12 but you see them at 8 and even younger doing full muay thai rules. BigSparky22..I like your idea but it won't happen in Thailand any time soon. This is why you see Thai thaiboxers with 150+ fights before they're 20..the real "Sagat" had over 350 fights because he started out young like this, too.

    Cop cunb cup

  • I lived in thailand for 3 years.muay thai is like their religion there.everybody knows muay thai

  • the children i can understand why everyone doesnt like it. me personally its amazing what these kids can do..but to say its against the WOMEN? they have a choice to go into the ring, what just because they're women they are being exploited?

  • awesome...

much respect to these young warriors

  • they dipict horribly, but I don't think it's like this. They have pride in fighting, pride in contributing to their families. Parents still love their children in Thailand. Kids get hurt playing football, you could make a documentry about that too.

  • And another thing, if americans were raised this way we would be alot better off and appreciate alot more. These kids have discipline, and hard work ethic, they don't know how to say never or cant or quit.

  • World police.Big boss of the world .Think what you want if US don't want to see this then US should give money for all the poor people in Thailand. They do it for money that's right what US going to do about it it not doing any thing just hush!Stop acting like you care.

  • Agreed, these people have to live and provide for there families. If this is how they do it then let them be. They will grow up to be champions one day, and be happier than ever, so mind your own damn business. This guy is a fag, he probably got mad cuz they wouldnt sale him any of the young thai girls, haha.

  • ... I m sad watching this !! but i know they must fight to put money on the table for their family.

I hope these kids are ok in the end ... special the one who cant come home !! Any of u know where i can get this full movie.

  • get over fukin american cock heds.....

this is nothing unusual the kids love it...you see it evrywhere these days its great...

  • this is good western kids would not do that because they so lazy and fat.

  • fucken American propoganda. I hate american journalisn. what about american football??? I would like to see the statistics for juvenile injury between the two sports. what about hockey? Yanks are so arrogant about being moralistic. what about thou shall not judge??

mind your own fuckin business for once. I would rather live in Thailand with their beautiful people than live in the same street as an american. piss off and leave other alone.

  • you said it the right way brother.

  • Explotation of innocent children is just that Didn't notice the adults NOT in the ring exchanging money? A child would CHOOSE to be strictly trained til bedtime and kicked the shit-out-of in a ring surrounded by screaming strangers?

There's a big difference between this and little league hockey/youth martial arts competitions And I don't see too many street gangs of little girls Come on people!

  • I'm sure this kind of thing would be opposed by progressive minded people, whether they be in America, UK, or Australia. Once can say that it's wrong and, at the same time, have empathy for the plight of the people that engage in it.

  • I was just like these kids. I used to train at Rawai Camp.

  • If you trained at Rawai Muay Thai in Phuket, you were nothing like those kids...

  • I meant LIKE THESE KIDS as in I started training at about the same age.

I don't think I can go through the same pain and hardship as them. Besides, Rawai was mostly for tourists and foreigners (like me)

  • the most enlightening thing about this is again, the 'bubble wrap' reference. i'm not condoning this kind of burden on kids around the world, but our 'western sensibilities' also dictate to us that it's ok to let kids work themselves into a diabetic coma by the time they're 12 and live out their sedentary childhood on a sofa. it may not be apparent to us from our 'high and mighty' outlook on the world, but we're far more abusive to our kids becuase we honestly don't have an excuse.

  • Very good response and 100% correct!

  • One can oppose both! When one discovers they're a hypocrite, they do not give up their moral crusade, they simply add more to it! They improve!

  • I love fighting and martial arts, I've been in it most of my life. But if you've been in asia and know how they treat kids in a performing sport context... and with betting on them and all. that's just pure child labor. That's without saying the negative impact a high level training regiment can be bad for young childrenthat's child.

  • boys are fine if they do muaythai but little girls? thats messed up man

  • Why? Is it cause girls are suppose to be in the kitchen cooking and cleaning? Or in front of the mirror? Martial Arts have no restrictions. Anyone can be a fighter.

  • Well said!

  • After being there for myself and witnessing these hardships it angers me when I see comments like this.

  • These little kids earn my respect more than any professional championship American boxer.

  • If I had to do that to support my family. I will. I think its brutal, but the other option is =starvation. These are brave selfless kids. We do live in a bubble.

  • We do live in a bubble wrapped world in the US. Next time you feel like bitching about the price of gas or your taxes, remeber, it can always get worse. Not everywhere is america, this is their culture and who are we to judge.

  • I love Muay Thai. Its a great martial art and these kids learn the value of life. Good stuff

  • This is what I loved from the oriental cultures. This little kids instead of dealing drugs in the streets, they fight to earn some money to help the family and presever one of the most beautifull combat techniques.
