At the time of filming this video, John is a volunteer with Chiang Mai Tourist Police. This is the volunteers' uniform. Every provincial Tourist Police have their own special uniform approved by their respective Commander. Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket etc have different uniform. Video was shot at TPD Chiang Mai Office.
He is not 'a true volunteer tourist police because' his uniform is fake like him. I'm a volunteer also but that uniform does not exist for the tourist police volunteer in Thailand.
You can't help wondering why a volunteer has to wear a black shirt covered in insignia.... And is that a badge hanging around his neck? Wouldn't a yellow polo shirt be so much friendlier and welcoming?
Tourists police are different everywhere but the number is the same all over Thailand.. 511

Ahhhhh... don't judge our officer by uniform. It's royal.
Everybody's proud to be in it. If you don't know anything, just keep your fucking bad attitude away from here.
