Just so you don't think your imagining it, yes bc'ing natural hair does produce a different final result from bc'ing relaxed hair. What u see is pretty much what you'll be working with over the long haul. I think you'll also have more consistent results with the styling products of your choice. Three products I never go without are aloe Vera juice, jojoba and castor oil. You look beautiful:)

Funny I should watch this now! I just big chopped Jan 9th (not a newbie) and have had real problem hair. I worked out only this morning that it was dye and possible old relaxer that is dry scab hair so I just trimmed another 1/4 inch off and now my hair is soft and healthy. Doesn't it feel fantastic!

I chopped my hair off on 12/29/11? And I love it! I will not be growing my hair back. Looking forward to the summertime, so I can sport my new hairdo and big earrings. I have one gray hair in the front , and it's bugging me...lol! I will wait til the summertime to color it

I have had many women in my world ask me how I could cut off my hair. For me I'm not that attached to my hair and I always change it, but It's was a shock for others.
Well i just want to say im loving the brush cut! One thing i did when i rocked my brush cut is after i got out the shower i'd put some blue magic on my hair and brush it down and tie it with my satin scarf. Id wake up with waves for days! lol i loved my 360! Right now im 7 months in my natural journey but just something i thought i like to share with you or for anyone is watching this who hve just cut their hair to this length

Thanks for the udpate diva! Keep 'em coming! Yess yess we know it's tax season so you get a pass on that one :-)...I've worn my hair as short as yours and let it grow out. You should experiment with letting it grow out for just a few months to determine which of the shortest lengths that you are most pleased with...you'd be surprised. Either which way...you "did it on 'em" with the brush cut...simply fierce and straight forward.

It takes a while for the chemicals from relaxers to actually leave your scalp after you stop relaxing so your texture could have changed
