Very nice review. Like you, I too was introduced to Anime through Toonami. Those days also hold a great deal of nostalgia for me. Being 20(ish) at the time, it became a ritual for my friends and I to hang out and watch DBZ & Gundam Wing (Tenchi Muyo was another great one playing at the time). I agree, the battles are what draw you in but the deeper content is what kept me watching. Even the music in this series is the best IMHO. I've often thought that this show could even be put on stage..
For a few of us, our love of this show even turned into an obsession (some more than others <---). There is an episode 3/5ths the way through were in the scientists discuss the affects of the Zero on the human psyche. I believe that this show also has the same mind warping side effects. You know you're off the deep end when you've figured out how to make the system. I look forward to your future reviews, especially 0093.
@CharAznable LOL, yeah, I blame this show on my love for anime. I will get to Char's Counterattack after I finish reviews of Zeta and ZZ, but I havent watched ZZ yet, so that will take awhile.
@CharAznable I am glad you enjoyed the review man, I have other reviews of gundam anime if you're interested. I am currently working on reviews of Gundam X and Zeta Gundam aswell.
A phenomenal anime for many reasons with some flaws and secondary purposes (it can feel like a pretty boy show and a toy commercial)but it was very well executed. I mean even if it was all based on selling toys, it is much more timeless than transformers. Which to bring adult fans they had to make those michael bay films. Gundam is a mature philosopical war story that adults can get into but still has its alternative charms. I learned much about war and conflict from this show. good review. CP

@CrimsonPiano Despite being a glorified toy commerical, the show is definitely a deep and compelling show. I am glad you enjoy the review.
